IMy friends and I have been enjoying Patrick's nightclub for the past six or seven years. The food is good (esp. the burgers!!!), the staff is extremely attentive and friendly, and in my opinion, the guy who owns it (Patrick) really knows how to run a club/restaurant/business.. I'm from Chicago, originally, and clubs like this one were fairly commonplace out there, but not here.
However, one of the main reasons I enjoy Patrick's is because the bands that play there are so diverse in their approach, style, songs, etc. My wife, her friends, my friends only have one comment that's well, less than favorable and it has to do with the Sunday night band. In fact, we stopped going there on Sunday nights because of it! I'm writing this review because whenever I've asked folks in the band or at the club, I don't seem to get much of an answer. Whatever happened to that crazy, wild-eyed chick who used to play keyboards with the band on Sunday nights? That band just doesn't sound the same without her presense, energy, angst, and to be honest, her skill and creativity. They still sound ok but it's just that now, they sound like any other cover-"smooth-jazz" act around town. FYI, a number of other people who frequent the club agree and now find them boring. That band might want to try and find her because her presence is sorely missed in that group.Besides, my wife and I would like to start going there on Sundays again.
