Patricia's Floral Plant Shop

My wife had always wanted flowers delivered to her at work for her birthday. This was the first year she had a job that would allow her to have them. I looked for a florist on the internet and found Patricia's was close by. There were 4 reviews of the shop and since 3 were good I decided to give her a chance. I'm so glad I did. I stopped at the store to make sure I got just the right thing. Patricia, the owner, was very friendly to me as soon as I walked in. I told her I wanted to surprise my wife with a dozen red roses, but I wanted something in a vase so she could set them on her desk. Patricia showed me a sample arrangement that I knew my wife would love. The arrangement, which looked exactly like Patricia said it would, was delivered to my wife on her birthday and she was thrilled. My wife said every woman in her department was jealous. The delivery even included a box so she could bring her roses home without dumping them. With my order, Patricia also gave me a card for a free rose every month for a year. I was very pleased with the service I received and I will definitely be a repeat customer. I would recommend Patricia's Floral and Plant Shop to anyone. more

I had called in a order from out of town to be delivered to my mother in a local nursing home. Patrica's asked what I wanted and offered to provide the service you would expect over the phone. The next day I ended up driving in and visited my mother. I was disappointed that the flowers were not what I had asked for and what she had promised; I felt they were not worth the $50 I was charged. My wife called Patrica's the next day to let her know this and to see if an adjustment could be made to the bill. Patricia identified herself as the owner and itemized the arrangement/her rationalization for the service/charges. She became very rude and unprofessional with me over the phone, asking me what I wanted. I told her I do not expect to get something for nothing but that the order had not been filled according to our request and I would hope that she could at least make some type of adjustment to our bill. She then became very angry/defensive with me stating that she would simply refund our money (with no mention of what she intended to do next). I did not request this nor did we expect what happened next. We then received a note in the mail (with a credit slip) stating that they had not only adjusted the bill, but went to the nursing home and removed the flowers from my mother's room! This is absolutely appalling that a business would conduct themselves in this way, not to mention doing something like this to an 81 year old woman confined to a nursing home! I would hope for no one else to have such an experience as this. My personal advise would be to STAY CLEAR OF PLACING ANY ORDER WITH PATRICIA'S FLORAL!!!!! more

Patricia knows her stuff, isn't afraid to experiment, and has a creative approach to floral design. The store front is not where she spends her money, so don't be dismayed by the set-up when you enter. From dozens of orders of bouquets, corsages and boutennieres, I feel confident in saying that she is a trendsetter of the area. She keeps up on what is popular in weddings, is constantly involved in them, and is very thorough in getting to know the look you're going for (from what color tie your date is wearing and his tux style to what flower might be your mom's favorite) She remembers her repeats' preferences and also has a frequent buyer program. Her prices seem very comparable to others I've looked into and bought from. She is just the most fun. more
