I've had much better kosher deli in my time. Also, if you do take out, MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS IN YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!! They have a terrible history of leaving SOMETHIN...

Best kosher food in Suffolk 2/24/2008

This review was prompted by the previous reviews. I have eaten in and ordered out. The food is fresh and some of the meats are cooked on the premises. The orders are ALWAYS the things I ordered. The bread is fresh and just as good as anywhere else. Toy can have the Pastarmi as you like it and is delicious. I myself love the tongue. Great place to have great kosher food. Pros: Great more

Check your order if you take out!!! 1/13/2008

I've had much better kosher deli in my time. Also, if you do take out, MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS IN YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!! They have a terrible history of leaving SOMETHING out of the bag, whether they charge for it or not, which makes no difference to me once I've gotten home and something is missing from my order. I wish they were more reliable. more

Great place for a kosher meal 11/9/2005

Pastrami N Friends have been active in the Commack area for almost 30 years. There have been other Kosher restaraunts that have opened and closed their doors in the Commack area since 1975 and only Pastrami N friends have survived. They are well known for their sandwhiches which are very tasty and made on real Jewish rye bread, and the pickles they give with them are awesome. The homemade cole slaw is highly recommended, as is the homemade chicken soup. Have an oldie but goodie to wash it all down, a Dr. Browns cream soda. THEY ARE THERE BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE IS 11/8/2005

This place is still open after all these years because no one else has open to close them down. The food is average at best. They really dont cook much there they warm up pre made meats put 3 to 4 oz on cheap bread and call it a deli sandwich. There have a person behind the counter with a chip on his shoulder. The one thing that is good is cole slaw. Drive else where it is worth it. Pros: They are there, They sell Dr Browns, Cole Slaw Cons: ok food, counter help, French Fries more
