Pasta Q Trattoria Italiana (CLOSED)

Went here with a group of five. Three out of five had very small serving sizes for the price charged. My pasta was very under cooked. For the amount and price charged they could have included a small salad, but that was a la carte. More of a bar atmosphere, rather than a cozy place to dine. Don't let the Italian accents of the waiters convince you this place is authentic. Overall, I'd rather cook and eat my own Italian food than come here again. more

I haven't been back in a little while, but when I first moved to Davis a little over a year ago, Pasta Q was still relatively new, and most of the waiters were actually Italian. There is a good selection of pastas (of course), as well as daily specials. There are always wines by the glass, which I appreciate, and the wait staff is happy to recommend something. Also, corkage (if you wish to bring your own bottle) is reasonable. On warm evenings, the patio is a great place to dine and relax. more

When i first walked in, the host was intimidating...joking around with me, which was kinda weird because i didn't really know him at all, but i guess he was just trying to be friendly. I ordered the ravioli with white sauce and i didn't like it at all. I felt that the white sauce tasted burnt. However since i have only been here once I can't totally speak bad about it, cause some people love it, but some don't like it at all. I think this place is a hit or miss and for me it was a miss. I don't think I'll be going back unless it was a party. I also think it was overpriced for the amount of food you get. The atmosphere was good though and i really enjoyed the design of the place, but i would have loved it more if the food was better. more

Great pasta and an intimate environment. Prices are reasonable too. A great place for a romantic dinner or a family dinner. more
