i go to a 2hr Salsa class and im sure glad i do! i've always loved salsa music...and watching people dance salsa is so beautiful, and i've always always always wanted to do it!! i've gone now for a few months, and i am learning!! im understanding the partner dance and the arm movements and the spins! i'm so glad to be a part of it. pasofino is affordable. i love how you can go at your own pace. you start in level 1! and you can see level 2 and 3. they teach you names of moves (ex:suzy q) so you learn a common language! the salsa music is loud and you get an awesome workout.i wear workout pants and dance shoes. maybe you need 5 weeks in level 1, or 10 weeks in level 1- you choose!!\r \r i am so greatful for this school. Jose and Lucy Lu are such good dancers! and such good teachers. they want to keep salsa alive!! they help so many people. they know exactly why you cannot do the move right and are ready to show you how to do the move right! they are fabulous!!\r \r so, the first hour you do solo moves. you get a nice warm up! the 2nd hour you do partner work which is so fun! and with time you start to really learn and understand. jose has made such a great concept! i love 2hrs, loud salsa, good cardio, everything! \r \r also, on tuesdays after class there is an open dance floor kind of atmosphere.if you want to stay alittle longer- no extra price, no alcohol. just practicing with other students- some students you dance with are better then you, and are nice about showing you the right way if you do a wrong move. and when i dance with someone that isnt as far as i am, i show them and am so glad to help! its a great cycle! all the people are students- its so nice of Jose to do this!! just fantastic! cant say enough great things! more

Pasofino boasts a wide variety of latin based dances - bachata, mambo, salsa, capoerira, and ReggaeTONE, and even ""Latin ballet""! If you have kids, you can even enroll them into their ""kids salsa"" classes on the weekends. Their salsa classes are definitely the best deal around! Drop in rates are only $20 for a 2-hour class, but you also have the option to purchase a 5-class card for $60 or 10-class card for $100. Most people opt for the 10-class card, since it equals a savings of $100!! If you're a beginner, definitely hit up the Tuesday night classes. They have several instructors which tailor to students ranging from beginner level to intermediate to advance....so there's always room for improvement. Or if you're just not ready to jump to the next level yet, you can stay where you are!! The instruction is easy to follow, repetitive, and focuses very much on timing, foundational techniques, and fun salsa patterns you can show off in the club! I take classes at the studio nearly every night of the week, but my favorite night to attend is the Tuesday because of the open salsa social that follows after your regular class...it gives the students an opportunity to review (old and new) salsa patterns with other fellow students and your instructors as well! It's not a place for learning a few patterns so you're skill set will be just barely passable...it's a place to learn where dancing becomes an expression of your individual style. The basics are drilled hard into you, and with a few private lessons, the pillars of salsa are set in stone. On top of that, there are open invitations for practicing, social outings, and an overall sense that the studio director has the best intentions of watching you fulfill your dancing dreams. It's a great way to come as singles and still have a group of people to hit up clubs for social dancing. What you get is exactly what and how much you decide to put in. Very welcoming for beginners, but there are paths to follow that could set you up to become a pro. The boot camps are nice enough for an interesting Saturday afternoon date, or basic intro. Earnest beginners will find a class that fits there schedule every day of the week. Whether it's bachata, Salsa, Reggatone, or ballet; there's a balance of classes for you to attend at a fair expense. I've been here for a few months now and I'm happy to spend a few of my evenings there every week. I never thought I could learn to dance, let alone, learn to dance well!!! Finally, it does take a good bit of training to become a salsero, but the studio teaches you in such away...that really represents the true essence of what salsa is all about: Enjoying great music, people, and settings while expressing your art through dance. more
