I took my beau here for his birthday and it turned out to be our new favorite restaurant, although for special occasions because of the price. The maitre'd was very welcoming when we arrived and seated us in an area that afforded us a little privacy. The restaurant is charming and had a cozy atmosphere, the table chairs were very comfy! Our waiter treated us with excellent service, he helped with the wine selection and never left our glasses less than half full. The dinner was superb from start to finish! We started with escargots as our appetizer, it was the first time I tried it and it was very tasty! Followed that with the cream of asparagus soup which made me smile, I love asparagus. I ordered the Dover sole, which is actually a meal for two but they looked for a smaller fish to serve me. It was soo good! The sauce was tasty and made the fish so flavorful. He ordered the bouillabaise which is his favorite dish. I was hoping he'd love it and was a little nervous because it was the first time we'd been to this restaurant. He loved it! He said the sauce was the best he's had in the states. When I made the reservation I said it was for a birthday celebration. I didn't mention it when we arrived but our maitre'd remembered and brought out their sorbet dessert for his birthday. The sorbet was delicious! The flavors were apple, lemon, and pear and it was finished with an elder sauce. The maitre'd gave me one of the roses from the vase nearest our table (there were vases of roses scattered throughout the restaurant - beautiful roses and each vase held a different color) which was a sweet touch. Forgive all of the superlatives, but it was such an enjoyable meal all around and worth every penny!
Pros: Food, Service, atmosphere
Cons: I can't think of any
