Favorite Doctor! 4/8/2012

Dr. Law has been my doctor for seven years, and I trust him with my life. He is a renown doctor in the area, and many medical professionals go to him for their care. In fact, he was recommended to me by several nurses at The Methodist Hospital. Dr. Law is reserved, but compassionate. He is caring and extremely knowledgeable . I highly recommend you see Dr. Law! more

Horrible Bedside Manner 9/29/2011

My husband and I went to see her after a positive pregnancy test. I had never been to her before but my doctor in the same practice no longer delivers so I decided to try her out. Bad idea- she was horrible! From the beginning of the appointement we both felt she was very cold and unfriendly. She left the me laying on the table in the middle of the appointment to bring another doctor in without telling me what was going on. It looked like something was wrong but she and the doctor conferred, then he left, and she finished up without saying a word to us. When it was time to discuss everything with us she left us waiting in her office for an hour without any explanation. I finally tracked down her nurse who told me she went off to deilver someone's baby, which would have been ok had they told us. When she finally returned she spoke to my husband and I as if we didn't want the child and then lectured me on not eating ""for two"" just becuase I was pregnant (I am a small, athletic woman so I am not sure why I got the lecture). At the end of the appointment she finally addressed why she had brought the other doctor in, she plainly told me ""Oh and don't worry about all of this because you probably miscarried anyway"". What! She said the fetus was small for how far along we thought I might be but we actually didn't know since I had gotten pregnant right after stopping birth control.Just like that she shocked my husband and I and then the appointment was over. She said I needed a blood test but didn't really expalin anything. Her nurse, thankfully, was very sweet and expalined the blood test and what had just happened. I was almost in tears I was so upset about the news and the way it was delivered, cold-heartedly. After the blood tests confirming I was pregant I immedietly looked for another doctor. I am happy to say that I had a healthy baby girl with no complicaitons and a wonderful different doctor throughout the process. My husband and I still couldn't believe how mean and horrible an OB could be - no one should ever leave an appointment feeling as we did. more

Favorite Doctor, Super Staff 1/18/2011

Dr. Manning has been my doctor for about 5 years, for the mundane yearly stuff, a couple of average health-hiccups and my first pregnancy and delivery. \r I am grateful for the efficiency of her staff, her thoughtful and thorough clinical approach to medicine and the competent quality of care they accomplish.\r I want to say more, but would hate to look too effusive. Regardless, she will always come highly recommended from me! a to a+ experiences there, only. more

answered all my questions 4/14/2010

I have been going to Dr. Manning for the past two years, and I am quite happy with her. Pros: answered all my questions; personable nurse more

Top Doc 10/21/2009

I went through three OB's in town before Dr. Manning was recommended to me by a friend. She was much more professional and thorough than any of the other OB's. Her nurse Laurie always picks up the phone or returns your calls in the same day. The other people complaining about her are off base in my opinion! \r \r This is my first child and I am a 34 year old professional and I think she is GREAT! Pros: Great Physician more

Care that goes above and beyond 12/8/2008

Dr. Manning has been my gynecologist for several years, and I just adore her. On my first visit, we met in her office before I changed into a gown, which made me feel a lot more comfortable than I would have otherwise. She always explains what she's doing, and is very helpful with questions and concerns. She always discusses the pros and cons of treatment options. The nurses are very helpful, and never have a problem calling in a prescription for you. Occasionally, they'll even hook you up with free samples. The techs are excellent as well, and the office staff is friendly and helpful. Also, the office is conveniently located in Scurlock Tower, which you can get to on the Metro Rail so you don't have to deal with parking. Pros: Convenient location, caring staff, great care Cons: Rather large clinic can sometimes means a long wait more

VERY PERSONABLE 7/8/2008

Dr.Manning had been my Gynecologist for almost 5 yrs and she is amazing. She's very personable, she sat me down in her office upon of first meeting, like sort of a meet & greet. Most doctors do. She makes my yearly check up go so smoothly, she answers any questions, asks many questions and she's very nice. I don't think I'll be changing my doctor any time soon. I highly recommened Dr Manning. Pros: She's very knowledgeable, knows whats she's doing, very caring. Cons: She's a busy doctor so there is a wait from time to time. more

Bad Service 6/28/2008

Dr. Manning should not be a doctor. She is a smart mouth and could care less how her patients feel. In my opinion she is a doctor because she likes the ""athorzation feeling"" it gives her..... and boy does she ever like to use that to make others feel stupid. Get a new job or take some c;asses pm ""how to act like a human"" I definately would not reccomend this doctor to anyone who isn't in a coma or dead already. Pros: She is woman OB GYN if that make you feel better Cons: She is condensing towards her patients and nursing staff. She likes to make smart comments at others expense. more

Terrible beside manners 6/28/2008

I like to be informed in what is going on with my body. If you do too, don't use this place. They won't spend enough time with you to answer all your questions. Dr. Putterman is a great surgeon but isn't good at communicating. Dr. Manning is a is a smart mouth and she likes to talk down to people, I guess that makes her feel more manly, but that kind of attitude I don't put up with for a second. I haven't met the other doctors there. Pros: Dr. Putterman is a great surgeon Cons: He does not comminicate well more

poor customer service 2/7/2007

The staff for Erin Manning were kind but did not give me the pertinent information that i needed to know regarding my medical treatment. I constantly had to reschedule appointments with them and i continually felt as if i was unsure of my medical treatment. They made me feel like a patient number as opposed to a human being. Dr. Manning herself is virtually impossible to get a hold of if you wish to directly ask a doctor about your test results or expected medical course. I do not recommend this doctor. Pros: location Cons: impersonal, dont give you enough information, long waits more
