Doctors are very caring and they listen! 4/4/2012

I have been going there for 6 years. The doctors are very attentive, listen and don't talk down to you or dismiss your concerns. I'm not big on shots. I believe in spacing them out much farther than CDC (or whatever gov't agency) recommends. Unlike other doctors I've seen in the past, the doctors at PIFH don't pressure me. They listen to my concerns about the potential dangers of infant immunizations and don't treat me like I'm an idiot. They also spend a lot time with you which causes delays (significant at times) but it's worth the wait. Dr. Kurtz is particularly attentive and super friendly. I like Drs Murudkar and Patel as well. The nurses are also friendly and treat you with a lot of dignity and respect. I didn't give them 5 stars because of some areas that need improvement: 1. I don't like the way the front office girls blurt out all your personal information when they check you in. I find it especially embarassing when they remind you of unpaid balances within earshot of other waiting patients. 2. They take too long to call you back. Sometimes it feels as though messages get lost. 3. They went digital and some of my family's medical records didn't make it to the their new computerized system. Still don't know what happened the paper records. more

Do not take your children here! 11/12/2010

I have been going to this office since I was a child. I never had an issue with them until I had my own child. When he was a baby he had a few minor issues and when I would call and leave a message I would not receive a call back. When I would call again they said oh we called in a prescription, or oh he needs to come in and be seen, didn't anyone call you? It seems like they don't communicate well there. The final straw that made me leave the practice was my sons 9 month check. He was due for his Heb B shot and they gave him a Hib shot instead. I didn't realize the error until I got home because I was more concerned about comforting him. When I called they told me its not a big deal, even though he got very sick afterward, and not to worry about it, he'll be fine.... I understand mistakes happen but when you inject something into an infant that your not supposed to I expect them to be kissing my butt and telling me how sorry they are. They wouldn't even let me talk to the doctor that was in the office that day because he wasn't our regular doctor. Don't allow them to care for your babies! more

Great Doctors 6/20/2010

I've gone to Dr Kurtz for at least 10 years and my Mother now sees her. She is such an attentive caring doctor. She answers any questions you have in a manner in which you can understand - no doctor talk. She also spends the time to answer any questions you may have. My mother is 76, has many health issues and Dr Kurtz even went to her home on several occasions to check on her condition. I've also seen Dr Muradkar on several occasions. She is also a caring doctor. Not quite as personable as Dr. Kurtz but willing to spend the time to answer questions while not talking down to you. I find that trait to be the most valuable in any doctor. The nurses are wonderful. I've never met one who was not competent or caring. I'll continue to go there for as long as I'm in the area. Pros: They take the time time to listen Cons: sometimes you have to wait (b/c they take the time to listen more

Friendly with a Good Diagnosis 12/7/2008

Partners in Family Health diagnosed me correctly every time. They have a computer program in which they input symptoms. They tend to use this program as a guideline only and they are so sweet. My grandmother and mother have also used their services. more

Great doctors 1/9/2007

To the best of my knowledge, Dr. Woods is no longer at Partners in Family Health. However, there are two doctors there that are absolutely amazing people in addition to a very compassionate psychologist. I strongly recommond Partners in Family Health. It's tough to find a great doctor and this office has two brilliant ones who work very hard. They actually seem to care too, which is unusual. more
