Editorial review from Citysearch 7/4/2012

I just have one question dont you guys feel bad actually embarassed that 12 cowards beat up 3 girls....OMG...I would never go to a place like that....and i find it hard to belive that they were just drunk and got pissed that they were gonna be kicked out, why the beating??? Why follow them to an alley, spit on them, verbally abuse them...people need to stop with the hate crimes, really, gays are here and they are not going anywhere, we need to stop hurting our own kind, killing our own kind...people wake up... more

Partners is the best 2/28/2011

Partners is the most friendly place I have ever been to. It is also dog friendly. Regarding the comments; One arrogant conceited person who has delusions of being a celebrity was drunk and started a fight and got thrown out; that is where all the negative comments are coming from; don't believe them. Partners is great. more

Great place , very welcoming 12/18/2009

My band Above The Law has played Partners on a regular basis. The landlady Joy hood is a dream to work with and has always welcomed us and helped put on an amazing evening (aided by her legendary hand made burgers!) The bar staff are great and most of all the customers are FUN and up for having a good old party. Come on down to our fundraiser for Rock The Earth on 12/23/09 Pros: Really relaxed and fun atmosphere Cons: Can only fit about 250 people in! more

HATE CRIMES HATED TO BE THROWN OUT 11/26/2007

Just to let anyone who visits this site know. I want to let you all know that partners is a great place to hang out in any time of the year!!!!! Holiday's included!! It's just a shame that people any race, creed, color or sexual orientation get so drunk, act like asses, get thrown out of 2 other neighborhood bars So why not blame it on hate crimes THE ONLY ""HATE CRIME"" COMMITTED WAS THAT THESE TOTALLY DRUNKEN PEOPLE ""HATED TO BE THROWN OUT"" OF YET ANOTHER BAR!!!! GROW UP!!!! and Stop bashing a great neighborhood bar,it's owners and it's patrons. Sea Cliff is a very diverse community, 1 square mile, neighbors and friends looking out for each other, as well as those who visit. Please stop the CRAP!!!Don't visit our beautiful beaches If you need to be so messed up on coke and booze. STAY HOME Please don't visit our community,it's just fine without you. Pros: FRIENDSLAUGHS Cons: NO FOOD BUT GREAT DELI ACROSS THE STREET more

Coldest Beer in Town 10/25/2007

I have only lived in the area for a few months, however, my boyfriend has lived here his whole life. He knows the owners very well and we visit Partners quite often. The patrons and staff are always very friendly, generous, and welcoming. It is definitely not a dangerous place to go and relax. Partners does not discriminate against anyone, so to anyone that believes that, then here is some advice.......GET OVER YOURSELF AND GROW UP!!!!!!!!!! Just because you are a wannabe celebrity doesn't give you the right to go into a new place and act belligerently without anyone getting annoyed. I LOVE Partners and would highly recommend checking it out! Pros: Ice cold beer, friendly faces, adorable dogs, awesome decorations, great annual Halloween party (October 27th@9:00 pm) Cons: they don't serve food more

trashy 9/27/2007

Great neighborhood tavern, friendly staff, down to earth regulars. 9/25/2007

I've been to Partners many times and it is actually a very friendly neighborhood bar, in a very nice town, run by very nice people. However, late weekend nights, the bar becomes overrun with non-Sea Cliff 20-somethings who can't hold their liquor and are looking for anyone ""different"" to harrass or ridicule (unfortunately, immaturity is a timeless commodity). Nevertheless, I've never had any trouble there at any time (admittedly, I'm a well built 30 something guy). It was a terrible and uncalled for incident, but I'm willing to bet the staff of Partners was justified in asking the victims to leave and totally unaware of the goings-on outside the bar. Pros: Cheap beer, good tv's, excellent juke box, cool people Cons: No food (but you can bring in outside food). more

Losers and hillbillies. 9/15/2007

When Joey Ramone said ""The KKK took my baby away,"" they must have taken her to this bar. If you are a low class bigot, come on by! Pros: If you love a good fight, swing on by! Cons: If you're not white trash, you may be beaten. more

This bar's staff is unwilling to help in an emergency. 9/13/2007

It's too bad that EVEN while seeing a group bashing, noone would help or even attempt to break it up. Even if you don't agree with a certain lifestyle, it's sad when people do not value human life, no matter WHAT background someone has. The staff and patrons that were there during the beating should be ashamed of themselves for not attempting to help. Shame on you. more

Watch out heterosexuals, blacks, asians, hispanics, southerners, and italians, you're next. 9/12/2007

This must be owned by the Klu Klux Klan or the White Supremacy League. This place should be out of business. With a name called, Partners, what did you expect, singles only. Pros: If you a member of the Klu Klux Klan or an White Supremist or friends with the anti-gay cops Cons: If you are not a member of the Klu Klux Klan or White Supremist more

Customers are SO not protected here... 9/12/2007

It's apparently NOT a safe place to go. Some people have been beaten up by the other customers after being forced to leave this place... Cons: Unsafe more

Bad Atmosphere and a Beating to Boot! 9/12/2007

What are they serving at this dump to make the customers so violent? They should call the place ""Partners in Crime"" and ""Enter at your own risk"" should be their motto. A limited drink menu and unlimited 911 calls. The beatings aren't confined to the inside of this hell hole! Psychotic patrons will literally follow you out and continue beating you on the street. DO NOT look for any police help. The police are apparently afraid to go there. Be afraid. Be very afraid. more

Don't miss their Gay & Lesbian Night Special 9/12/2007

For every beer you buy, they'll bash you over the head with a baseball bat. And if you're into under-age rough trade, this is the dive for you! Pros: Full service for minors Cons: BYOB if you're gay. (Bring your own bandages) more

NOT SAFE! 9/12/2007

An attack of some of the bar's patrons took place over Labor Day weekend. What did the bar do? They escorted the patrons out of the bar. They did nothing against the people causing the trouble. Cons: It's not a safe establishment. more

Avoid this terrible place. 9/12/2007

The customers are ignorant and may attack you. Unless you are an idiot apparenlty it's ok to commit a hate-crime here. Instead of protecting people, and calling the cops this place supports the jerks that hurt people for no reason. Not a good place to hang out if you smart and different. Pros: Nothing Cons: Customers may attack you if you are different from them. more

Gotta luv it 7/5/2002

""This bar is your local dive with great atmosphere. Limited drink menu and only Bud on tap. Great for anyone in the area who wants a quiet drink in a non-intimidating bar. more
