Family Fun! 8/29/2005

We've gone here many times, starting when my son was a year old. He LOVED all the animals and ran around like crazy looking at the goats, chickens, and bunnies. Recently, the goats had babies, and they are adorable! It's so beautiful here. Lovely landscape. Picnic tables to have a snack or lunch. And the ice cream? Incredible! We had a blueberry sundae, and it was delicious. Very fresh. The farm stand had fresh fruit, flowers, jams and jellys, and some fresh baked breads. Make sure you call ahead if you want to pick your own fruit....it varies. Check their web site... www.parleefarm.com more

This is a great fruit stand in Tyngsboro. It has a small inside stand but offers great pick your own. They have 2 crops of strawberries, 1 in june, 1 in august and they also have pick your own blueberries and other berries. Icecream stand, picnic tables and a huge selection of farm animals with feed machines. My kids spend hours just playing with the goats, bunnies, chickens, etc... Prices are average. more

Great food and fun! 6/17/2005

Looking for a fun place to take the kids where they can see goats and sheep? Need some fresh fruits and veggies? Want to indulge on some ice cream ? Look no further.... Go to Parlee Farms in Tyngsboro, MA. Its a small farm located near the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, NH. It has sheep, goats and ducks for the children to see, a hay maze in the fall for the children to play in, and much more! There is a snack bar (which serves some of the best ice cream in MA....Richardson's from Middleton, MA!) They have fresh fruits and veggies to pick. If you don't feel like harvesting your own, you can pick some up in the farm store. Beautiful flowers are also available. Its a fun, free(!) activity for the kids. I took my son when he was just 15 months and he loved the animals. He followed the goats around for over an hour. Definitely worth checking out.
