I had two problems with Parkway.\r

I ordered pet medicine online. The office staff at Parkway Veterinary Hospital would not fax the prescription to the website or confirm that I had a prescription for my dog when the company called. Parkway told me they would mail me a copy of the prescription, but it never came.\r

I brought my puppy in for it's third set of shots. Since it had already been examined twice in the prior two months, I told them I just wanted the puppy to have shots, not to be examined....an extra $45. The vet told me they were required to give the examination by California law. I called the California Vetenarian Medical Board and they said the law was that the dog must have been examined within one year. \r

The owner of Parkway has now written me a letter telling me that pets must have examinations to make sure they are healthy enough to get the vaccinations. Apparently it isn't a state requirement after all.\r
