Not my favorite 4/14/2006

This is not a place we go to often. I used to go more when they still had a JoAnn Fabrics. There is not much of a food court if any to speak of anymore. There is a k-mart and a Giant eagle. We will stop in on occasion because it is close if we need something. I am not a big fan of the Giant Eagle and II have never been a big K-mart fan. I can manage to find seem good things in the dollar store there though. There is plenty of parking but it is not the most convient. more

This mall scares me. When I go there I have noticed that the floor shakes. The place is pretty run down. Their Kmart is a nice store and they have a cheap book store but there is not much else. The parking is quite a ways from the actual door to the mall. It is laid out weird. more

It's by the Bridgeville DMV 3/17/2006

I don't know of anyone in the area who actually refers to this set of strip malls at the Char Valley Shopping Center. Instead, you usually hear, "You know, store *** by the DMV." It's a pretty big plaza though, with plenty of parking, a Big K Mart, a Home Depot, Dunham's Sports, and plenty of smaller stores filling the gaps. Destinta is next door if you're up for a movie. The only downside is that with the DMV so close by, be a cautious driver with all those permit-laden kids trying to park their parents' mini van. more

In need of something new 3/17/2006

For years, I referred to this mall as "The Cookie Mall" as a result of the delicious, huge cookies sold at one of the food court's snack stands. I've watched this mall through its ups and downs, and now I think, unfortunately, it's in a permanent downward spiral. Stores seem to be closing faster than the spots can be filled again. It's still in operation, which says something, but it's nothing like its glory days of the early 1980s. more
