No Justice! 3/20/2013

Doctor had little to no knowledge with my condition. I was told to get used to the horrible pain and I needed a defibrillator. After being admitted into a different ER, I was sent to the Cleveland Clinic. I saw one of the top doctors in the world. They eased my pain with medication and testings showed I did not need a defibrillator. Went back Parkway for check up and get reacquainted with doctor. I mentioned side effects to the medication I was taking. He argued and stated I was wrong. When I showed him the documentation I received from the drug manufacture, he stated he would no longer see me as I would not listen to what he had to say. He accused me of doctor shopping... For Toprol... A beta blocker. My issue is very severe and was treated routine and like it was not a big deal. My doctor did not investigate anything further than what he originally diagnosed. He was going to put me into surgery that I did NOT need. He never consulted experts about my condition, then re more

My husband had been having chest pain so bad he could not sleep for about 4/5 nights straight. Went to the local ER and they did nothing to help him. I spoke to Dr. Pietrasz and he got him scheduled for a nuclear stress test and found that it was only muscle spasms. My husbands father died of a heart attack at the age of 58 and his mother has had bypass, so having this test done as a precaution made us feel better just to find out something for sure. Dr. Pietrasz went out of his way and treated him very well and also gave him some pointers for taking better care of himself and getting his blood pressure down. PROS: Very caring. CONS: None. more

Our diagnostic services combine high-quality technology with traditional techniques to evaluate the function of the heart. One of the tests that we offer is a Transesophageal Echocardiography,or TEE. During this test, the heart is viewed though a flexible probe or transducer placed into the esophagus and/or stomach. When you are an adult, full disclosure of your condition is given to you and to others in the family, with your consent. Anticoagulation Clinic ? Many heart patients take anticoagulation medication like Coumadin (warfarin),to help prevent stroke, blood clots, and other problems. These "blood thinners" slow the blood's ability to clot. The Parkway Cardiology Anticoagulation Clinic is designed to manage patients taking the anticoagulant,Coumadin,or the generic name,Warfarin or Jantoven. The Anticoagulation Clinic is staffed by a registered nurse and pharmacist who are trained in anticoagulation management. Our nurse's work closely with the patient's cardiologist to ensure the patient is kept in a safe therapeutic range for their medical condition. The Anticoagulation Clinic nurses provide instructions for Coumadin dosing and testing each time the INR blood test is reviewed. INR Testing ? Parkway Cardiology patients may come into the clinic for a finger stick test. This is done by appointment only. The visit takes about 5-10 minutes. Patients receive their test results immediately, and the nurse instructs them on any necessary Coumadin dose adjustments, and when to schedule their next INR test. Patients receive a dosage calendar to follow until their next visit. Patients will have the opportunity to discuss any anticoagulation related issues with the nurse during the appointment. Patients may also have their blood drawn at any other laboratory facility and track their results through Parkway Cardiology Anticoagulation Clinic. This is helpful for many patients who work or patients who travel frequently
