i honestly would give them zero stars based on the experience we have had so far, but I didn't want the rating system to accidentally give them 5 stars if I skipped that part of the rating!
My son was lied to and asked to sign a lease as a ""preliminary step to get the ball rolling"" for processing his application to rent here. His lease was to be contingent on the move in date and amount of deposit he would need. Someone was supposed to get back to him after the manager returned to the office on May 26th to confirm if the move in date he needed was even a possibility.
On June 28th (over a month later), someone contacted him about his apartment and his July 1st move in date. This was pretty odd since he had told them he had to be out of his current apartment by June 30th and preferred to move on the 26th, which was his only day that he did not work. They called him 2 days after he needed to move and are now insisting that he owes them rent on an apartment he has no intention of moving into. I realize he should not have signed that document without knowing what he was signing, but they are taking advantage of an 18 year old kid!
If you plan to rent here, be sure you know who you are talking to and DOCUMENT every conversation and do not sign anything they ask you to sign unless you are ready to commit to a lease. The document my son signed was incomplete at the time of signing and they completed it later on their own. I do not see how this is legal or valid, but I guess if they can still sleep at night, it must be okay in their book. I don't know how they can look at themselves in the mirror. Slime bags!
