Best

I know if I lived close by, I would definitely take my cat Franklin there! Is sounds like such a caring place!

best in Cary 12/7/2009

The hospital is bright and clean, there is never doggie or cat pee odor. Nice waiting area with a coffee bar and internet access, and televisions. My wait in the exam room is educational-they have videos playing on cat care. I haven't used the groomer but they have one and I saw some dogs recently going home and the owners were happy and excited to see their spruced up dogs for the holidays. The staff is friendly, and patient with my somewhat grumpy kitties. I have met both Doctors and they are terrific. They always check my cats thoroughly from nose to tail every time. They have caught problems ahead of time like kidney disease on my old cat. They patiently answer all my cat mom questions. I love this place! Pros: patient, caring, modern, clean more

Leading the way 12/4/2009

I have been a client of Parkway for 6 years, and my pets are always treated with compassion and I know I am getting top-notch care. Yes, it may be expensive, but the doctors are at the forefront of veterinary medicine and offer traditional and holistic approaches to pet care. I am always given options and they respect my decisions. And the free food and coffee are nice treats! Pros: High level of quality and value more

Like One Of The Family 12/3/2009

I have been going to Parkway since February 2009. Ever since I first walked in their door, I was treated like a member of the family. I initially had one dog when I started patronizing Parkway, and they were always good to the little fella. I since adopted a pet that was left outside of Parkway with a severely broken leg which had to be amputated. She has become another special member of my family. I have had support and love from the staff and they have worked with me to do all that I need to do for my furry babies. Myself, T-Bone, and Madison say 'Thanks for all you do!' We truly feel like one of the family! Pros: Caring and Understanding more

Finally an Answer 7/31/2009

My cat had been seen & treated at another hospital, but the condition always seemed to return. I wanted a 2nd opinion & visited Parkway Animal Hospital. They reviewed test results and asked questions I hadn't been asked before. They prescribed a different treatment & my cat has been healthy since. And, my bill was less than the original vet. So, we're transferring to Parkway Animal Hospital\r Pros: Compassionate & Thorough more

Rough Vet Tech and $$$$ 7/22/2009

I agree with the other posters--the prices are outrageous! I was also spending $200 for new puppy visits. The exam was $69.50, then tack on all the marked up shots, and there you go! On top of that, there was a rough vet tech and the experience was awful. Cons: expensive-bad vet tech more

Great care for your dog 6/7/2009

Parkway is the best vet we have found. Dr. Gilvey is so nice and patient. Debbie the groomer is the only person who can successfully groom our dog. He is so nervous and irritable with groomers but she takes her time and helps him through it. more

A blessing 5/20/2009

my name is Heather Jenkins On may 21,2009 I walk through the door of Parkway Animal Hospital in cary,nc.\r The reason for my visit was because,i had a 2 week old kitten that was dying in my hands. They greeted me at the door and right then i knew i was at the right place. The staff are very respectful and kept a smile on their faces the intire time i was there. Not friendly with telephone contact, unhelpful. Unprofessional with regard to timely communication back with clients. I don't recommend this business! more

Owning an animal is expensive enough.... 4/23/2008

The care is excellent if you have the money (comparable services are cheaper from my physician). They also have a serious markup on veterinary prescriptions (Interceptor, Frontline, etc.). Be very careful with the quotes given. For example surgery may not include a gauze bandage ($42!!!). Also it is a good idea to deal with the same vet within the practice. One vet may quote a service but if you go back to a different vet there, you may find the job only partially done. When you have the original vet finish the service, you will pay full price again.\r \r They offer EKGs on routine checkups which is great if you have a boxer but totally unnecessary for any other breed. All these extras add to the costs there. more

Excellent!!! 2/20/2008

I took my new puppy to Parkway Animal Hospital and i just enter the door and i felt welcome. They didn't make me wait. They treat me and my puppy very warm and they answer all my question about my puppy and clear my doubts. The doctor and the staff are very knowable and friendly. My service was personal and private. They perform a complete physical examination. (head to paws). The next day they call me to see how was my puppy doing. That meant a lot to me. Seriously this is a great animal hospital. Just go take your pet and see for yourself. more

Sooooo expensive! 9/28/2007

I will give it to them that they are a friendly, clean enviroment. But I felt like I was handing out money left and right when I took my puppy there. The normal once a month puppy visits were costing around $200, which is too much for me. And for my baby to get spayed, it will cost a little under $500. I don't think so!!! I'll just take her to the SPCA where it's under $200. But if you have the money, go ahead and go there. Pros: Friendly Cons: High prices more
