I love Parkrose hardware! I'm usually in there at least once a week, getting stuff for either home or work. I agree that the service is EXCELLENT--they have several knowledgeable "fatherly" (I mean that in a good way!) gentlemen in there who know the store and are always willing to help out. They have an ENORMOUS selection of hardware in bulk so you can usually find just what you're looking for, and buy just as many of them as you need, at a reasonable price. On some packaged items the price may be a little higher than Target or Wal-Mart but the selection and service makes up for it. Plus it's great to be supporting a local business. more

Parkrose is a great out of the way hardware store. But the service is informative, and helpful. You don't have to search for hours before you are offered help. Our neighborhood association was able to strike a deal so that we could get 20% off the rentals and supplies needed to renew our lawns and fences in our neighborhood. Way to go, giving back to the communitity. more

I've been all over Vancouver and the surrounding area looking for certain items and then suddenly remembered Parkrose and, sure enough, they had what I was looking for. It was the only place that had magnetic wreath holders this year and bark chips when the season was over. They just seem to carry a little bit of everything and I haven't been disappointed when I've gone there. There is plenty of parking and I only wish they were open later. Call for their hours if you plan to go after 6 o'clock. more

After spending time in Lowe's and Home Depot, wandering the aisles in vain search of assistance, I was SO grateful to find Parkrose Hardware! They have a wide selection of everything I could possibly need, and EXCELLENT service. Free popcorn was just icing on the cake. :) Even though the Mill Plain location is out of my way, I happily trek there to shop. They'll take the time to answer all my questions and help me find what I need. Or, if I know what I need, they'll leave me alone and let me make a quick trip in and out. Hooray! The store is clean and well-organized, easy to find what you need. I can also HIGHLY recommend their rental department. We used them for a charity event and for a wedding last year, and the service was simply PHENOMENAL. I would do anything for their event planning staff, who went above and beyond to take care of our needs. A most excellent place to shop; we're fortunate to have Parkrose here in Vancouver. more

I went into Parkrose Hardware shop looking for a hard-to-find light bulb for a science project. I was greeted at the door, and received personalized service from the moment I walked in. Not only did the employee walk me to the aisle, but also opened different lightbulb packages to try. He also suggested additional items for our science project. I was impressed with the service received. It was like stepping back into time to the days of the small hardware shop with employees that knew what they were talking about. more

Whenever I build anything or need a part or piece for household repair projects, Parkrose is the place to go. They are very helpful, very knowledgeable, and will answer any question you need. Nothing like the poor service typically found at the large home improvement chains. Best of all, they seem to have those hard to find items you need. more
