Parker's Discount Liquors

If I could give them negative stars I would. This business is a lesson in what negative signage is, how NOT to treat your customers & how to drive your customer base elsewhere. Can you imagine being an employee? I would go mainly use the redemption center. Last week when I brought 3 bags of cans in, I noticed the only had the machines available. I went and asked the owner, who as you can see by the other reviews is a nightmare of a woman, if the machines were the only way to redeem now and she says 'yup'. it would have taken me hours to put all the cans in. I told her I wouldn't be back, especially with the poor treatment she has always shown me and others. She just said 'ok'. Hopefully their bad business practices will catch up to them and they will be out of business sooner than later. more

this place just plain sucks. everything is over priced, the old bleached blonde that seems to run the place is nasty. she is rude, cold, ugly, smells, hard on the eyes, and quite unpleasant. How do they stay in business? Who would go there? You would have to be a moron to pay those prices and be treated like crap in the process. Go to Luke's Liquors at the rotary, they are much much nicer, and the prices are much much better. Don't waste your time or money at parkers, go to where people are nicer. I went to Parkers to return a few bags of cans because its very close to my house (we DO NOT shop there because their prices are outrageous!!!) We prefer Blanchards behind the Mall...people are VERY nice there and the prices are 25% cheaper....anyway, I brought the cans in, got my ticket from the nice guy that works in the redemption center and then walked outside and around the building to cash in my ticket. I was greeted (not so nicely) by this bitter, very ugly woman who refused to let me in until I walked back to my car and placed my bags that I carried my cans in, into my car!! (they do not provide any trash cans on the property) While thats fine with me, and I knew this....I told the bitter woman that I would bring the trash with me and that I was just going in to cash my $10 ticket and I would be out of there....she still did not budge....""queen of Parkers""....When I came back in, I stood at the counter for about 1 min watching her play lottery for herself ( I know this because there was not a single other person in the store and I was the only one in line) So after she finnishes playing her numbers she tells me that she ""will help me at the other register"".....fine.....so as she cashes my ticket she feels the need to go over ALL the rules of bottle redemption that the store has, and if I didnt like them then I should go elsewhere!!! I then told her that it was not nessisarry to go thru the rules, seeing that I would NEVER step foot in the store EVER again.....this woman was sooo rude to me.....and all I could think was....is this woman so misserable in her life that she has to be a c*nt to every person that she has contact with??? I do realize that she is VERY ugly, and having a sandwich with extra, extra cheese wouldnt hurt this anorexic woman....maybe she's pissed cause she's hungry!??? I really dont know....and if she wasnt so ugly...maybe she would get laid every now and again!!!! who knows....I would just stay far away from Parkers Discount(haha some discount) liquors on rte 132 in Hyannis MA. And if anyone from Parkers reads this....get that witch out of there before you go under for good!!! Their prices are way too high, considering that they call themselves Parker's ""Discount"" Liquors. (I only go there for bottle/can redemption.) The woman in there is very rude. She's got a severe attitude problem. I honestly can't understand how this place stays in business. Take my advice and make your purchases at Luke's. Cons: Rudeness and High Prices more

Went to redeem a few bottles before purchasing beer and wine for the upcoming 4th weekend. A lady was unlocking the door to the redemption center and I greeted her with a smile and a ""good morning"". Her response, ""wrong door, one person at a time."" I laughed and she repeated herself. I quickly redeemed my bottles, entered the store and purchased the least expensive item I could find to use my redemption receipt. I left and went to Luke's just a short drive from Parker's Discount. I proceed to purchase over $300 worth of wine and beer. As Julie Roberts said in a scene from ""Pretty Women""when she was treated with disrespect............""big mistake, big mistake!"" I visited Parker's Discount Liquors redemption center today. When I received my ticket and went into the store to redeem it the slow clerk told me to write my name and address on the back of the ticket. I asked why and she very rudely said it was because it was over $20.00. I asked why that meant she needed my address and she said the state tracked any redemptions over $20 and if I didn't like it, not to come back. I have been going to redemption centers my whole life and have never had anyone ask for my address. I just read the Redemption Fact Sheet on the mass.gov website and it does not state anywhere that redemption centers must ask for a name and address on redemptions over $20. This store is lying to the public about the state requirements and who knows what they are actually doing with the names and addresses. I will take the clerks advice and never return.
