Parker Real Estate Management

If someone was trying to be horrible, they could not be worse than Parker Real Estate Management. They ripped me off on my security deposit even though the place was really well cleaned. Their units are dirty when you move in and many have issues with mold, which can be really dangerous. A very evil woman is behind this company. Her name is Phyllis Bond, I call her Phyllis Fraud. She also sells houses. Don't be her next victim. more

First, let me say that I usually think that the rants on these reviews are just the result of bitter undergrads who are complaining about a company that didn't return their security deposit. HOWEVER, in the case of Parker Real Estate Management the rants are accurate and 100% correct. I am a professor and made the mistake of signing a lease with this company. They will make it seem that they are professional, will fix all the problems before you move in...but once they get your check...this will change drastically. Suddenly, they will be too busy to respond to your phone calls, or requests to fix the hundred things wrong with your place when you move in, always claiming that it is their ""busy"" time of year which in fact is ALL YEAR LONG. Then, when you move out, after you have cleaned the place from top to bottom, expecting to get screwed over a little on the security deposit...figuring you will get about half back even though you left the place in great shape...you will get a check for like $35...being chared $50 to replace lightbulbs that were fine when you left, $45 for smoke detector batteries that were fine when you left, hundreds of dollars for marks on the walls that were there when you moved in (of course not on their movein inspection)...am I bitter...YES...did I take pictures of everything and still get screwed over...YES...am I exaggerating... NO!!!!!! Do not even think of renting a place from these people, living out of my car in the walmart parking lot would have been a better experience. more

Parker Real Estate Management is hands down the worst real estate company in Bloomington, maybe even Indiana for that sake. They are only there to collect their checks; they never help solve anyone?s problems but instead prolong every problem until they add up to a significant amount. They are not willing to work with tenant's situations if they are in a hard spot. They treat their tenants like criminals and blame them for every problem. They take no responsibility and will do whatever it takes to screw you over. They don?t listen to people's problems or come up with a diplomatic solution but instead just write it down and pass it along to the next person. Brayton, i believe is name was, is the least professional person I have ever came across in the business world and his immaturity and lack of confidence shows. Seems too afraid to handle any problem or make a decision for himself. Seems scared of not only his bosses but also tenants, many would classify him as a stage 5 Weasel. But he could be gone since the last time I rented from them. more

My fianc?? and I paid them a half a months rent in september 2008 to find someone to take over a lease. It is now march 2009 and they still claim they cannot find anyone to rent a 2 bedroom $475 a month apartment. We have now got the better business buruae involved and the are still dicking around and acting like the better business buruae are nothing big and that they won't get into any trouble. They are worst liars on the planet and if you rent from them you will be screwed over many times more

Avoid Parker at ALL COSTS. They are a pack of liars who treat their tenants unfairly. Foolishly, I didn't take pictures of everything when I moved in. There was a door with a slight break in part of it that the inspector didn't see when I moved in, and it got worse through time. On move-out, they charged me BIG TIME for this, even though it wasn't my fault and it was caused by general wear and tear. That wasn't the main problem though: whenever I tried to take care of these kinds of problems (maintenance) they were SLOW, and I had to call several times for simple fixes. They treat their tenants like they are criminals trying to screw them over, and meanwhile, they do the same back to them. Watch your back with these people, because they will screw you over at the first chance they get. Best would be to go elsewhere at all costs. more

I would avoid having anything to do with Parker. The ceiling in my apartment began leaking in November. They dicked around and did not fix it until February, after I got the building inspector and student legal services involved. They attempted to patch the roof twice, which stopped the leaking for a week or two. The ceiling showed signs that it was replaced before I moved in, hinting to me that it had leaked before and was not fixed. The blinds also have water marks, since if it rains hard, water will come through your windows. The management, a woman named Candy specifically, would constantly lie about when the repairmen were coming to fix the roof. If I had not gotten the city and legal services involved, it would still be leaking today. more

BEWARE!!!! These people WILL rip you off when you move out. But lets start at the beginning, First they will take their time to respond to any and all maintenance issues you have, and then proceed to tell you that YOU broke it....They never call back and don't respond to emails either. And like I said on move out they will rip you off. They claim bogus HEAVY TRAFFIC and stains on carpets for 2 people and with evidence that stains were there on move IN. They will also then dirty up the place when they do the carpets to charge you extra fees for cleaning, at a generous $75 per hour. The reason I know this? My friend moved into my old townhouse, and he said that there were stains on the wall, which was NOT there when we moved out, because it is NOT in the move out inspection report - and then charge me for it. Pros: Big townhouses. Two assigned parking spots Cons: Pathetic maintenace, will rip you off, does not return calls. more
