Great Teachers 6/8/2009

The teachers greeted my daughter everyday with cheerful smiles. The teachers were seemed genuine to find out how there evening and morning at home was. My daughter was there from the age of 3 till 5. She just graduated. Art, music and play is apart of everyday. I have so much refrigerator art. She knows her letters and sounds. She has a great ime I have even had to give a few extra minutes to finish up her activity or play upon pick up becuase she is having such a great time. My daughter wants to go back and visit. We occassionaly bump into teachers at the super market or at the ball field amazingly these teachers give my daughter a warm hug and spend a few minutes to chat with her. We will miss them as we move onto kindergarten. It is a great feeling to not have to worry about your child while you are at work. Pros: Teachers know my child Cons: Can't think of any more

Not everything is as it seems! 11/27/2008

Parker Landing does give the ""look"" of a top of the line daycare, although, not so anymore! There was a time when Taube HAD the top of the line, Best of the Best facility and teacher's. Now she comes up short! You can shine a penny and make it look like it's worth allot, in the end it's still worth One Cent, that's what Parker Landing does. It looks good, it still doesn't deliver what it use to. Now one of it's past #1 teachers is teaching at another after school program which has all that that glitter's is gold. My son loves what we've found at the new gym like atmosphere, along with his old favorite teacher. No longer do we have to deal with the unprofessional type after school setting of Parker Landing, the unstructured atmosphere of one age mixed with another in one small classroom, where older children pick on younger and teachers turn the other cheek. If you are looking for a after school program, look further than what Taube and Ted at Parker Landing have to offer, for the same amount or less my child is going to get bused from his school to this Top Notch, State of the Art new facility type gym atmosphere with much more to offer, than just being placed in a one room after school program with no stimulation other than the tired toys, dance mats and computers that sometimes work and teachers that stand around and gossip. Pros: Clean Cons: Non-stimulating, large class sizes, lack luster teaching staff. more

Read this before you decide! 11/25/2008

My name is Shane Fisher and I am a former employee of Parker Landing. I just heard about the ridiculous accusations on this website and thought I should give my personal reference on this daycare. After reading the numerous negatives from former employers and parents, I felt that I should tell anyone that is looking for employment or to put their children at this facility, that you will love it there!!!! I started working at Parker Landing 2 years ago. It was a wonderful experience for me! The children are loved and cared for by the teachers very much. Taube REALLY cares about her employees, her business, parents and all of the wonderful children at this center. She helped me out when I left the daycare last year (because I was dumb) and hired me back. She will always go the extra mile for anyone! Even though people have wrote that Parker Landing doesn't have curriculum, they are wrong! We as teachers have to study and provide curriculum for the children on a daily basis that meets their age level and needs in order to be kindergarten ready. The children do cooking projects and field trips every week. There is also a great gym that does wonders for the children when the weather is too cold to go outside. It is a shame that a few employees and former parents have to bash this center. I know that it isn't always easy to work with other peoples children every day, but we do the best we can and better than most! Some teachers have been there since the center opened and give their hearts and souls into their jobs. Also, anytime I brought a child up to Taube whom I believed was ill, she called their parents right away and kept them on a cot away from the other people in the center. The children are happy there. There will always be a couple people to down a business because they had a ""bad day."" It's clean, efficient, great staff that care and safe! It is the best daycare I have ever had the pleasure of working at. Pros: Staff, Private daycare owned by Taube abd Ted,gym, caring environment Cons: NONE!!!! more

A true class act! The best of the best! 11/21/2008

Parker Landing is truly the best of the best! It starts at the top with the owners Ted and Taube, you can truly feel their passion about what they do. Their love for the children is so abundantely apparent as well as the family atmostphere they have fostered in carefully selecting their staff. They not only make my children feel important, but they make my husband and I feel important by taking the time to chat with us each day as we come and go. Next, the amazing staff at Parker Landing. My kids absolutely love their teachers, as do my husband and I! They constantly talk about them in the evenings and weekends. I can't tell you how much comfort it gives me as a working mother to know that my children are getting the TLC that I can't be when i'm away from them during the day. I've had my children at Parker Landing for almost 4 years now and much of the staff has been there for that time which I feel speaks volumes. You don't find that often in the daycare industry. We had previously been at one of the other ""chain"" daycares prior to finding Parker Landing, my son had numerous Teachers and we never ever felt the true love and dedication that the owners and staff of Parker Landing do. Another thing that I am so very impressed by is their implementation of a program called Zoo phonics. This is something the Public schools teach and Parker Landing is now offering this, so my childrent are now learning this and will be all the more ready for Kindergarden when that time comes. Every night I love to see their enthusiasm when we talk about the letter they are learning for the week, it is just amazing to see the progress they have made already! Pros: Staff & facility more

A step above the rest! 8/10/2008

This is the best place ever! The managment is awesome. Taube, Kari and Missy are professional and you can tell they really love their jobs and the kids. The curriculum is top notch and the teachers are hand picked with care.My child loves going to school and even asks to go there on weekends! She is learning so much. The classroom is always busy and excitting. I always see Kari and Taube in and out of the classrooms making sure that the high standards and expectations of Parker Landing are being met. They are always in ratio and Missy is a delight early in the morings! Taube's door is always open to parents and the kids, I love this! Kari is personable and knowledgable in child development and behavior. Kari and Taube are always there. They make a great team. This is an overall awesome place to have your kids. I would reccomend this center!!!! Pros: staff, ratios, clean, overall great! more

Parker Landing Rocks! 4/18/2008

I had my daughter in a nationwide daycare chain mentioned in a previous posting, and it was horrible. When they had an opening at Parker Landing, I jumped at the chance. We have been there from infancy through toddlers, and plan to stay here as long as my child is in daycare. They have a strict illness policy, which has kept my child healthy. They have worked with my daughter, teaching her something every day. I am amazed at what she knows. She has learned sign languages, counting, her alphabet, and now she is not even three and can spell her name, recognize all of her letters and tell you what sound they make. They have already taught her about 911 and fire safety (stop drop and roll). She loves school, her friends, her teachers, and Ms. Taube and Mr. Ted. The care about the development and safety of every child. If there are incidents of biting, hitting, etc. they give both parents an incident report. Taube works with the parents of these children to help stop the behavior. The ratios are great, the teachers care about the kids even after they 'graduate' to the next class. I highly recommend Parker Landing. Pros: clean, safe, teachers, lessons, director more

Worst Place I've seen 2/7/2008

I pulled my child out of Kindercare for this place...huge mistake!! The teachers were snotty, there was always a new teacher in the classroom, you have to pay $1 a day for the same breakfast day in and day out(cereal and toast), and I do not call photocopied pictures out of a coloring book, that are colored on with crayons, art. This was the most disappointing childcare I have ever seen! I have worked with children for 9 years, so I know what a good curriculum should look like, and it's not from Parker Landing. Yeah it's nice to have a gym, but that is nothing when the rest of the program sux! Needless to say, I yanked my child out of this pathetic school and put him back into Kindercare and now we are both very happy! Pros: Gym Cons: Paying for breakfast when the tuition is outragious as it is, teachers, curriculum more

Love Parker Landing! 1/18/2008

We have had our son at Parker Landing for over a year and we absolutely love it. When we drop our son off he is actually happy to be there. Even though leaving your child at daycare is difficult, seeing his excitement and love for his teachers makes it much easier. The teachers are wonderful they truly care about each of the children in their classrooms as well as children in other rooms. I especially like the fact that they have curriculum set for each classroom even at the infant and toddler levels. Pros: child to teacher ratios, curriculum, loving staff more

Best child care in Parker!!! 1/10/2008

Ted and Taube genuinely care about my 2 kids. They have been teaching my kids for 3 years. I agree that there has been teacher turnover, but it is always in the best interest of the kids. Also, in talking to friends, the teacher turnover at Parker Landing is MUCH LESS than the other daycares in Parker. Ted and Taube do not let a CORPORATION run the center. They do not babysit. They educate and love my kids. The negative reviews on this site are from parents who made hasty decisions and did not give Taube a chance to resolve their issues. If you are reading this and debating on where to take your kids, don't miss out on the best child care center in Parker. Go visit Parker Landing! Pros: low ratios, privately owned more

Love it! 1/10/2008

Love everything about it. Most importantly our kids love it. Both of our children started at Parker Landing when they were four months old. Our oldest is now three. The staff feels like family and the Director/Owner has an open door policy. If you need something she is willing to listen. If you overlook this center you are missing out on a loving caring environment for your child. It has so much to offer and your child will only benefit from the awesome care that he or she gets. Thanks Taube and Ted for providing a wonderful, loving experience for our children, we know they are well taken care of and they know they are loved by your staff! Pros: loving, compasionate staff more

I would not recommend this daycare!!! 8/11/2007

My child has been @ Parker Landing for 2 years. In that time she has been bit 5 times, her face has been scratched twice (she still has a scar) and has been slapped over a dozen times, while the teachers were preoccupied by the latest gossip going on in their lives. I say that because I have been in the room overhearing their conversations while other childen have been screaming and hitting each other, with no response from the teachers. She has had 13 different teachers. When I've discussed these issues with the director/owner she is more interested in listening to herself talk, than she is concerned about the lack of supervision her ""teachers"" are giving. I do think the facility is one of the cleanest and it is nice to have a gym for the kids to play in when it is cold. However, I want a safe, caring environment for my child. Also, I recently overheard the Director/owner chasting a child in a manner that was borderline verbal abuse. I have decided to remove my child from this facility. The only person at Parker Landing that I feel truly cares about the children is Ms. Kari. I wish her all the best, but I DO NOT recommend this daycare!!!! Pros: clean, has a gym Cons: poor leadership, can't keep staff, not nuturing, weak curriculum more

Good but...needs work. 4/15/2007

Nice facilities, excellent location. In the beginning (first 12 months open) the school would definitely earn a 100% satisfaction rating. Pros: Nice facilities, excellent location. Cons: Lack of consistency & poor judgment. more

Private day care centers are the ONLY way to go. 1/10/2006

Teachers at this center are some of the best I have ever seen. Most have been there since the day the center opened, and considering the industry, that has a lot to say about the director and assistant director. Pros: Teachers, Cost, Attention to children more

Not wanting to spend time with Children that had issues.....Would rather call parents at work and tell them how horrible their parenting is. Some of the teachers are real nice and helpful but I think the director needs to go back to school on social skills more
