Parker Animal Hospital

I recently moved to Parker and took my dog to my old vet for her shots. When we got home she was having a severe reaction. She had hives over her entire body and was developing dificulty breathing. I looked in the phone book and Parker Animal Hospital was the closest vet. When I got her there, the receptionist informed me that they wouldn't have time to see her as they were "booked for the day", and that they weren't an emergency facility. I left without even getting a referral to someone who could help. Luckily, I made it to The Animal Clinic of Parker. They got her in right away and could not believe someone else had turned her away in that condition. Stay away from people who don't care about your pet's well being, just your wallet. more

I've been going to Parker Animal Hospital for over 4 years now and I couldn't be happier. The staff and vets are always really friendly to me and my dog. When I had to put my other elderly dog down last year, they were very compassionate and spent a lot of time with me helping me to make the decision when it was the right time. I've referred a lot of my friends to the practice and they're happy as well. more

We visited Parker Animal Hospital several months ago and had an unfortunate experience. My three year old son and I took our dog to see the vets at this location and witnessed inappropriate behavior from the vet. The vet was an older male who has clearly been doing this for too long. I was about nine months pregnant and not in the mood to deal with it at the time, but I want other people to be aware & avoid this person & the location if possible. Our dog went in to have her nails clipped & the nails were being cut really low causing her to bleed badly on two paws. She reacted by trying to bite him, naturally...wouldn't you? The male vet placed a muzzle on her and with a chain in one hand, slapped her across the face when she tried it again. He hit our dog & restrained her aggressively in front of me and my three year old. I have since changed vets and plan to report this. But please, keep this in mind as you make your decisions about where to take your animals for services. Thanks for more
