I live about four blocks away from Park Service and I always get gas there because it is close. Yesterday, my car battery died so I took my car there out of convenience. . I asked how much it would cost and the guy said around $150-$170. I walked home and called about 8 other local car places to get estimates for changing a battery. Park service was the highest around, including other smaller repair shops. When I went to pick up my car, they charged me $188! The battery they gave me wasn't even top of the line...as the price may suggest. When I inquired about the high price and experessed my disappointment, the guy said they are a small business and it is difficult to compete with corporate places so their prices are higher. Their labor cost is $114/hour!!!!! I am a college student and can't afford such ridiulous prices. I plan to inform as many people as I can to avoid Park Service. Watch. out, don't EVER take your car there for repairs unless you want to throw money away for no reason.\r
