Park Service

This place is great. The service is always good, and friendly. I bought wiper blades there and they installed them, even though I had planned to do it myself.\r \r In the past, they have advised me not to do certain work on my car, as it was either not important or the car was not worth it. more

I live about four blocks away from Park Service and I always get gas there because it is close. Yesterday, my car battery died so I took my car there out of convenience. . I asked how much it would cost and the guy said around $150-$170. I walked home and called about 8 other local car places to get estimates for changing a battery. Park service was the highest around, including other smaller repair shops. When I went to pick up my car, they charged me $188! The battery they gave me wasn't even top of the line...as the price may suggest. When I inquired about the high price and experessed my disappointment, the guy said they are a small business and it is difficult to compete with corporate places so their prices are higher. Their labor cost is $114/hour!!!!! I am a college student and can't afford such ridiulous prices. I plan to inform as many people as I can to avoid Park Service. Watch. out, don't EVER take your car there for repairs unless you want to throw money away for no reason.\r \r more
