Park Diner

I'm always excited to get good home-cooked food here, but I usually leave disappointed and very irritated at the high prices they charge. While the owner is very friendly, and the cooked veggies are usually good, the sandwiches are way below average and way over-priced. I paid $8 for a tuna sandwich and a small cup of soup. The bread was dry, not what I asked for (I asked for whole wheat bread, and he put it on a very stale kaiser wheat bun), the tuna had a weird smell, and the tomato was transparent and bready. I couldn't even eat it. Free cake on Fridays is a nice gimmick, but I need to remember to stay away from this place because it just isn't worth it. There are other places around where you can get a balanced meal at half the price. Try the BBQ joint just down the road. more

Don and company at Park Diner are fabulous! They frequently cater events for our company (50+ people) and they ALWAYS do a great job. Their food is fresh and delicious. They are always on time and professional. Excellent food! Pros: Catering, food is always fresh and yummy. Cons: None more

Although this is hot spot for lunch for RTP professionals, other folks may not know what a delight the park diner really is. The food is always outstanding, and the service is the same. Amazingly a cafeteria style diner in a strip mall has a small town feel and ambience with amazing food to boot! I give the overall experience a 10 out of 10! While it may not look like much on the surface, Park Diner is always my 'default' lunch choice, because I know it'll always make me happy. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the employees are all super friendly and helpful. The classical music is a nice touch. I love Free Cookie Monday! Pros: food, folks, fun more

I love coming here, in fact it is the only place I eat out at during the work week. The veggies are always fresh the specials change daily and Friday is always Free Cake Friday! I always feel like I have a place to go and eat a healthy lunch. Don, your place is the best and I love the classical music! Pros: Selection, Freshness, Service Cons: Hours-Lunch Only more
