Park Ave Express Cafe

Park Avenue Express Cafe became Ed Pickens Cafe on Main-or just Cafe on Main as they refer to it. Ed moved operations to the historic Reeds Building on the square last year when it became available. You'll still find the same great sandwiches, salads, soups, coffees and baked goodies. With more room these days they also offer 2 hot lunch specials from a steam table as well as a White Bag special with quiche one day a week! Everything is made from scratch..you won't find any soup from GFC Marketpace or commercial deli salads from a bucket. They now have a wonderful dining room that is spacious and filled with light as you catch a view of the square out the huge wall of windows. It really has a feeling comparable to places I've eaten in NYC! It's fast, the staff is friendly and helpful, and still economical for dining out. more

Only got 30 minutes for lunch and in the middle of down town mansfield? No problem, why not stop by Park Ave Express Cafe and grab one of their great subs for lunch. This is CHEAP Food and fast so you might even have time to sit in the park when its not snowing and enjoy your lunch for a few minutes beforte having to run back to work or sit in their nice little dining room or even grab your sub (they have a great selection) and run back to your desk and have your lunch there. Oh and the staff is warm and friendly so it's sure to be an enjoyable experience. more

Park Ave Express, located in the Barrington One Building, is a great little shop to grab some lunch when in downtown Mansfield. The menu is mostly subs but the variety and quality of the sandwiches cant be beat. Add to that a great price and you have a great lunchtime spot for a quick meal to stay or to go. Note they have a dining area up the stairs that overlooks the lobby of the Barrington One Building; its quiet and clean. However, most of their business is takeout. My favorite is the Italian sub, with a glass of their home made iced tea. You dont see that much anymore, most iced tea is made from instant powders these days, but Park Ave Express makes it fresh! There are also some great home made salads, and for a topper there is an assortment of fresh baked goodies. The brownies are a real treat! Then there is their daily white bag lunch special. Each day a different sandwich or sub is put on special with a drink and desert, all packaged up and ready to go at a special lunch time price. The coffee is always hot, they have some quick breakfast offerings and the service is always pleasant and fast. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, and close up when the business close down. And I dont believe they are open on the weekend either. Their main purpose is to service those folks who work in the downtown area, and they do it fast, efficiently and with excellent customer service. A good choice if you are looking for a quick meal on the go to take back to the office, or you need a centrally located place to meet up at lunchtime with your friends. The subs and sandwiches are good and the price is right! more
