Paris Design Hair & Nails

This is ABSOLUTELY the worst place to get your nails done at. I just moved to Austin and decided to try them out, i got a solar manicure like i always do. I got them done with Sara and i could tell from the beginning that she didn't know what the heck she was doin but i gave her the benefit of the doubt anyways. Well she continued and the tips she was attempting to glue to my real nails kept falling off the tips she put on their weren't even glued to my real nails she then put the gel on them and polished them. They were crooked, and not even same sizes they looked horrible, i paid anyways and went home 3 days later they all popped off one by one i then had to wait to get in contact with anyone due to holidays they were closed when i called and spoke to the owner about a refund she refused to give me one and was very rude ! Their whole staff is incompetent. I wouldn't go back there if they paid me! Waste of time and money! more

I've gone to many of the fancy salons in Austin, such as Avant, but was never satisfied with the quality of haircut considering the extravagant prices that they charge. My friend recommended that I try Helen at Paris. When I went there, I was a tad worried just because it's in a typical Austin strip mall and the atmosphere is not very fancy. But you should never judge a book by its cover, and I must say, Helen is absolutely wonderful. She is the best I've ever had in my life, and I have lived all over the world. I have very straight hair and stylists have always struggled in helping me find a style that works. I showed Helen a few pictures of styles that I liked, and she used her many years of experience to adapt them for my hair type. She has over 30 years of experience and to top it off, her prices are incredible. She charged me only 1/3 of what I used to pay at Avant. Now that I have moved to New York City, I have yet to find someone better than Helen, and I really miss her! Pros: Best hair stylist in town, incredible prices Cons: Not fancy location more
