I love this dance studio! Both my daughter and I have taken classes here for almost 2 years. The children's dance classes are wonderful - great teachers that really enjoy kids. The adult dance classes are challenging and a great workout, but there is no pressure - they know we're not trying to make dance a career, we just want a good workout that is fun! Honestly, this is the only workout I look forward to - I try to go twice a week. There is also a great comraderie about the place where you feel like you're among friends and it's OK to laugh at yourself. They are going to remodel the studio before Fall classes begin, so I'm excited about that. I am not a professional dancer, I only took classes as a kid and I have bad knees (dislocate easily), but suprisingly the ballet classes have really strengthened my legs and my knees are not as sore, nor injured as often as they used to be! I've also danced off more than half of my baby weight from a twin pregnancy last year! And I can bring my kids to dance class with me (8 month old twins and a 6 yr. old). Lot's of the other mom's also bring their kids - they all have a great time playing while we workout and have fun too! If you are looking for a great place to learn to dance (all ages and all levels of experience welcome, including no experience!) and exercise, I really encourage you to check this dance studio out. They allow drop-in's to ongoing classes for $15/hr. so you can try before you buy. They have ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, a dance team for teenagers, and they do two onstage productions a year and you don't have to be a good dancer to participate, they'll even find a small role for any student who wants to be onstage. I've gotten to dance with my daughter onstage twice now - she thinks that is the best and so do I! If your at all interested, you really should call and request their fall schedule, 503-603-1828. I know they're in Tigard, but I don't live close by and it is worth the drive!
Pros: Fun, challenging, great workout, can bring your kids, great staff.
Cons: Only one class happening at a time.
