This hotel was chosen for a girls' night in the city. We went with the Parc 55 over other comparable hotels, because we were promised a ""deluxe"" room on the club floor, complete with evening cocktail reception and breakfast buffet--this was so not the case. Upon arrival, we inquired about the evening cocktail reception, for which we hurried into town for only to be told that this reception was not held on Friday nights (arguably the busiest travel night of the week...shouldn't you include that in your information somewhere?). Then, when we get up to the ""club level"", we find that we have a tiny, standard room with two double beds. We called down to the front desk, only to find that this was considered a ""deluxe"" room, and that the .jpg we saw online was of the deluxe suite--it was a mistake of the web designer (sure, blame them...). We ended up having drinks in the lounge on the floor level, which were overpriced (to be expected) and we promptly left for a bar. Oh, what about the breakfast buffet, you ask? Let's just say, I've had better continental breakfasts at a Day's Inn in Death Valley when visiting my 80-year-old grandfather. No matter what flavored cream cheese you put on it, a bagel is still a bagel.
The reason I gave this hotel two stars instead of one, is that it was very clean and aesthetically pleasing, and it is very close to lots of major shopping. There was also a need for a recommendation of somewhere within walking distance to have dinner, and the concierge recommended a great restaurant--Annabelle's--albeit with at-ti-tude.
Pros: proximity to shopping, cleanliness
Cons: poor customer relations, misleading information
