Paramounts Carowinds Theme Park

We are ready to go today! Carowinds is great for kids young and old. The young ones have a blast in the Nick Jr. section of the park where they can meet Dora and other Nick. characters. The older kids don't want to miss the great roller coasters! I would say until your child is 3-4 they can't take advantage of a lot of the rides, but they do have a kiddie section with a special bathroom for nursing, babies, and moms. And rides for them as well. The water park is great. Don't bring inflatable wings of floatation devices...they won't let you use them. They do have life jackets available, however. Food is overpriced, so bring your own and picnic outside the gates or at one of many tables available! more

Carowinds Theme park is a fun place they have so much to do and so many different types of rides and games not to mention there huge water park with all kinds of different pools which are included in the ticket they are a lot of fun and you will not get bored there. It is located in charlotte where there is lots to do. more

I absolutely love Paramount's Carowinds! The price is a little high, but if you have the opportunity to go more than once in a season you can get a great deal on a season pass. There are so many rides and attractions to enjoy. They have a Nickelodeon area for smaller kids to enjoy as well. They also have some awesome food! But I'll advise you that it's not cheap either. Be prepared to have lots of fun and be prepared to walk! more

Carowinds has always been fun since I was a kid. Of course the price of admission is always going up, but I guess that's to be expected in order to have a lot of fun. There's plenty to do for the whole family, old and young. We took our 18month old daughter and our 4 year old son, and they both had plenty to do. They had rides that my son could ride by himself and rides my daughter could ride with an adult. Depending on the day you go, expect long lines for both rides and food. And don't forget your swimsuit, with a wave pool, water rides you're sure to be able to cool down. more

Carowinds is an excellent place for a day of fun, whether with just a couple people or a whole family. The park has a section with roller coasters, kids rides (carousel, etc) family rides and also a section with water-park rides (summer only), so you can have a day with both! There are also live shows and little shops spread throughout. The roller coasters were varied and two of the best for the thrill and speed are Top Gun and Drop Zone. The vaunted new Borg Assimilator wasn’t anything special (facedown ride). The water park was pretty good for it’s size, but no real terrific slides (very enjoyable for younger children, though). Everything is expensive, especially food, so bring a picnic basket and eat outside Carowinds on the large sections of nice grass under shady trees. A Fun Recommended Place! more

This is a very fun amusement park with something for everyone. It has great roller coasters as well as rides for the little kids. The water park is great on a hot summer day. You can get good deals on tickets early in the season and even get season passes if you live near by. The big company I work for even offered discount tickets at a reasonable price. Of course food prices here are on the high side but that's to be expected. Over all it's a great place to enjoy with the family. more
