I earned my paralegal certificate from this school and I am very satisfied with the training. The instructors make the effort to get to know the students and are always available for help. The classes are live with a chat function to ask or answer questions. Taping is available for those who can't make the class(es) at the scheduled time. The courseware is excellent and makes learning the law so easy. The assignments and exams are challenging, but fair. It is a very good online school, and probably better than some face to face learning situations. Shame on the bitter people here disparaging it and not giving any proper reasoning for their comments. The so called ""mediocrity"" of this school probably has more to do with your lack of effort and poor attitude. \r more

Isn'tit obvious that the positive reviews here were written by persons affiliated with this school? That's the problem with this online school: There is a huge streak of dishonesty and deception running right through the center of their operation. I was almost victimized and leave this message as a warning to others so they don't fall into the same trap. Remember that anyone can put up a slick website that makes all kinds of representations. All you have to do, really, is copy someone else's legitimate website. I think that is what has occurred here. They copied another school's website. Compare for yourself and see. Also, they misrepresent themselves in order to appear bigger and more succesful than they really are. Here are some examples: They claim to have a staff of teachers, when in fact they have only ONE teacher who does 95% percent of the teaching. They say on the website ""No need to purchase any additional books"". What they don't tell you is that they don't use books at all. So, where's the big bargain? Whoever heard of studying law without textbooks? From what I saw, all you do in this place is listen to a lecture by the one teacher who does little more than paraphrase a law textbook. You can learn the same material yourself by buying some basic law books and reading them. You don't need to spend $5500 here. This school will not teach you the skills you need to succeed as a paralegal. Their placement is non-existent. I did my research and learned the hard way about this place. Save yourself the trouble and expense and pick a different school. This message is completely serious and you should take it seriously. I got my certificate from PTI. They're fantastic. They have great teachers and a friendly, helpful staff. The also have excellent placement assistance. They helped me build by resume, cover letter, writing sample and wrote a letter of recommendation for me. They also gave me heads up on dozens of advertised job openings in the NYC offer. I don't know that bb123 is talking about- maybe he's confused with a different school. Pros: Staff, teachers, customer service Cons: can't think of any more

This school, which only got started a couple of years ago, is someone's weak idea of what a school should be. I tried it as I searched for a good online paralegal school. Of the several schools I tried, this was the least impressive. First of all, they don't use textbooks. That raised a red flag for me. They use instead something called coursework which appears to be material basically adapted from law books written by other people. So I wasn't really impressed. This school forces you to listen to long lectures. All the lectures are given by the same person, so I concluded they have only teacher. And this teacher is just a newly graduated lawyer who has never practiced law. There are no placement services at all. To summarize: no books, no placement, long audio lectures adapted from a book someone else has written, and for this they want more than $6000 tuition. There are much better choices. Pros: easy to reach on internet Cons: no real career preparation. no books. long lectures. no placement. very expensive. weak record. more
