can't say enough about this place 4/16/2006

how the heck is this place still in bussiness? thats all i'm wondering. maybe thats my new eternal question. i have no answers. the place stinks of animal piss and pooh, and i feel horrible for the animals that have to live here. the place has horrible lighting, and i came away feeling so disgusting like an animal pissed on me. this place needs help. these animals need help. more

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9/27/2005

I bought a ferret 8/28/05 and all the recommended supplies! Now she is going bald. A week after I purchased her she was sneezing and now she is going bald. I was given no guarantee like I should have been and never got a receipt! I got the guarantee yesterday 9/26/05 now they are refusing to give me my money back or replace her. I took her in to the pet store and they said it is obviously not regular shedding and that there is no skin irritation. They are horrible and I would never purchase anything there ever again. What if you spend 600 dollars on one of their puppies and it gets sick 3 weeks later. If the dog has a disease are you responsible? DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Horrible pet store 9/12/2005

Paradise Pets is one of the worst pet store's in Gainesville. The store overall is very messy and stinky and the cages and tanks that the animals are put in arnt very well taken care of and the animals in them arnt too good looking. If i were to get a pet i would go to Petsmart. The workers at Paradise Pets are rude and are not helpful in anyway. more

I would stick to the big name chains 8/17/2005

I have been to Paradise pets once to check it out and also to purchase a spot lamp bulb for my Bearded Dragon and walked out the door empty handed. Once I saw the price for the bulds I just walked out and didn't look back. I headed straight to Petco. The prices are a higher than the other big chains such as Petco and Petsmart. I would suggest making your pet puchases at the big chains but if you want just want to look at exoctic pets then Paradise pets is great for that. more
