1. We prepaid for tips and were told the valets wold not accept tips. They displayed a sign that said, 'no tipping,' but the valets took tips, if offered. I contacted Par 4 by phone, left a message and they never returned the phone call. The mailed an invoice for the balance and said they had removed the prepaid tips, which they did but they never apologized, never said they would train the valets what to say if offered a tip and never stated that they intended to take care of the problem if it happened again.
2. They booked far too many valets. They estimated how many we needed based on our guest count and the contract said they would add fees if we had more cars than they estimated (as opposed to more guests.) We relied on them as professionals to make that estimate. They were way off as to the number of cars and their attendants had nothing to do. I attribute that to their lack of discrimination as to the type of party. Unlike a wedding, in which everyone arrives at one time, our party had no assigned activities until much later. People arrived slowly and left slowly. They should make a better attempt to make a more accurate estimate.
3. I used them on a recommendation of a friend who told me that they gave a rose to each departing woman. My son negotiated the contract and didn't ask about the flowers. I later called them and asked to which they replied that they didn't do that anymore. I explained that based upon their prior policy, I asked my son to book them and it would be nice if they provided that service. I told them it didn't have to be a rose, a daisy or carnation would be great. It was the gesture. They did not do so. So, if you are booking them on a personal recommendation from someone who had been pleased with the flowers...don't. They apparently don't care about referrals, tipping errors or anything else to please a customer.
In all fairness, they did park and deliver cars properly.
