If you like to read, this place is for you! The folks are very helpful with anything your trying to find. Books are in a good order for looking through. I recommend to anyone that likes to save some serious bucks to check out the store. more

Great selection and Great prices!! 4/14/2006

This store is full of wonderful books. There is a huge romance, fantasy and children's section. I just bring in books that I have finished reading and pick up some new ones! I love getting rid of the books that I have finished and I get credit to buy new (used) books! I can never go in there and leave with just one book! I always leave with a stack of books. They also have a great selection of newer books as well. If you are looking for a place to unload some of those books you have or just looking for a good bargain, try the paperback trade! more

Read Great Books for Less! 10/24/2005

The Paperback Trade is a locally owned and operated book trade store which has an extremely large selection of all types of reading materials. The store is neatly arranged and lighting is nice and bright. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is also plentiful. You may purchase and sell books at this delightful store. more

A Bargain Around The Corner 8/26/2005

I used to pass by The Paperback Trade and say to myself, I should stop there sometime. I did this for quite awhile and it took a recommendation from my friend to make the lucrative stop. They have many, many books and you don't just go in and pick a used book and buy it. They have a great idea where you may turn in a current hardback book and it will give you credit towards your purchase of your used paperbacks. It's close, it's cheap, and bottom line we don't have a great bookstore on this end of town. This makes visiting The Paper Trade a no brainer! more

What to do with those read paperback books 8/20/2005

I am surprised that this idea hasn't been more popular. You can sell your read paperback books to this place or get credit to purchase their books. THey have a huge selection to meet everyones tastes. You don't have to pay big money to read the latest best sellers. Just trade in those stacks of used books to these guys and get the books you want at a fraction of the cost. Friendly staff to help you find what you need more

Great Reads for Great Minds in York! 8/11/2005

The Paperback Trade is a very nifty place! Why didn't I come up with this idea years and years ago! Kudos to the clever person who came up with it! The deal is you can take in your books - current hardback fiction as well as children's and paperback books. They will give you credit for a portion (25%) of the cover price. They then SELL books for 50% of the cover price. Neat, right? If you're a voracious reader like I am, then this is the place for you, sister! Check it out. A nice newer location in West York with ample parking. I remember when they were in the old school building on Richland - yikes - years ago! Can you tell I'm a fan!? Always a fab selection in all genres! more

Another good used book store 7/14/2005

Irvins Paperback Trade is another very good used bookstore in York. They have a very good selection and the prices are very good. The quality of most of the books is great, some are even almost untouched and look like those in the retail stores. I would highly recommend Irvins Paperback Trade to anyone who likes to read but is on a tight budget. more

They offer a selection of hardbacks too. You purchase used books for 1/2 of the publishers price. You can trade in your old book for 1/4 of the publishers price. Take off any old price stickers before you go or they will not accept them. more

Book lovers paradise 7/9/2005

The Paperback Trade is an amazing bookstore in York. They have a huge selection of used books which are very very cheap. They have literally thousands of titles from many different genres. I am very into fantasy and I found tons of books i was interested, they probably have over 1000 in the entire genre. I would highly recommend this store to any avid book reader as the prices are very low. The service is also great. more
