Very disappointed & upset not only with the centerpieces for my wedding, but also with lack of communication & follow through on Monica's part. I came up with the idea for my centerpieces, Monica insisted it wouldn't be a problem...she said she would make sure it all worked with size vases she had & stated she would test it to make sure it would fit/work as discussed, she said she'd call me with any issues...never heard from her, so I assumed all was well. It was not. My centerpieces did not look like we had discussed at all. They looked cheap & thrown together last minute (because they were, but I'll get to that). She promised to have half of the centerpieces completed & at the reception site on Thursday because I need to tie hundreds of paper cranes on them, when I called on Thursday, she bumped it to Friday (I of course had people supposed to help Thursday, and less help on Friday, the DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING). Friday the center pieces were partially set up at the reception site. She PROMISED she would set the rest of my centerpieces & decorations up at 6:00am on Saturday morning. At 3PM still no sign of her...the reception started at 5. If that's not enough to stress out a bride, I don't know what is. They centerpieces were set up in time, but were certainly not what we had agreed upon. Paper Capers is cheap & you get what you pay for. I really think she would do great work if she didn't overbook herself. Save yourself the stress...spend your money elsewhere! more

Monica was a treasure come true. We had a wedding at the Glensheen in late July. At the last minute we needed someone to accept flowers that we ordered that were going to be delivered and needed to open up a few days before the wedding. We weren't getting to Duluth till Thursday. Monica let us have them delivered there and she prepared them in water and buckets. We also found out she had about everything we needed. We rented vases from her for flowers. We rented sashes for the chairs and table runners, and napkins. She even had a mexican sceen with sombraros and cactus and fence that we rented for the FUN pictures of the guests we were taking. (the bride was from El Paso so it was so cute) We wish we would have found her sooner. She was SO much more reasonable then anyone else we found. We hired her for 2 hours to help tie the sashes on the chairs. I found her to be hard working and fantastic to work with. If you need someone with lots of ideas and tallent she is a MUST to have. We hired hired Paper Capers to decorate our reception site. We hade 200 chair covers and ties for them. along with favours and other little things. It was such a relief knowing that everything was being done correctly, and then taken down after the event. I was surprised they didn't charge more. more
