Awesome greek food!!! Everyone that I took here always come back. Only complaint is that it closes early and that it's closed on Monday.

The SceneIt's a sign of L.A.'s cultural diversity that you have to drive through Koreatown to get to the city's oldest Greek market. This family-run store has been in the same spot since 1948, which is now smack-dab in the middle of what has been christened the Byzantine-Latino Quarter. That diversity is mirrored in the faces of the customers in this store--but not in the food, which is strictly Greek and Italian. The GoodsGot a hankering for Greek yogurt, hummus, baklava, feta or cured olives? You'll find them all here, along with a whole wall of Italian and Greek wines, including retsina, a Greek white wine that's aged in pine barrels where it acquires a delicious resiny flavor. Along with freshly made goods, there are also rows of imported canned foods (some of which come complete with original labels, meaning you might need to ask for translation), and a refrigerated case full of meats, cheeses and other delicacies.
