Panther Creek Pet Clinic

We have been going to Panther Creek Pet Clinic for about 3 1/2 years. We really liked the Veterinarians there, but over the last year or so, it seemed like the prices were getting more and more out of control. I finally sought out other recommendations and did some price comparison and I am sad to report that we were getting ripped off at this clinic. They quoted me $420 for an exam and xray for my dog who was limping. Oak Ridge Veterinary Hospital quoted me $176 for the same services. We switched to Oak Ridge and I could not be happier. The Veterinarian and staff are amazing and I just cannot believe that we allowed this to go on for so long. I like this place. I had just moved here and my dachshund (who has had previous back surgery) started having back trouble again. They got me in right away to check her out. I really liked the vet I saw, she took a lot of time with me and I finally understand what was happening with my dog's back and how I can prevent future episodes, something my old vet never did. (Which is probably why it reoccurred in the first place!) I took her back a few weeks later for a dental cleaning like the Dr. recommended. I found their prices to be very good compared to the other places I called too. I am definitely going back. more

I had a very bad experience at The Panther Creek vet. When I arrived with my dog Oxford I was maybe 10 mins. early instead of welcoming me I was told your early. Yeah I know we can just sit and wait till you are ready for us. But they went on and showed us to a room which was just fine my little dog barked a couple of times and was told we will have none of that very rudely. I apoligised for the two small barks and calmed Oxford down and then I was given completly different info than what I was told when I made my appointment. Originaly when I called I ask what Oxford needed to be update. They gave me a list of things he needed and a price of $170.00 I told them I was on a budget and did he really need everything right now the girl told me that all he really needed right now were a couple of things that would cost $107.00 so I made the appt. The very rude and unfriendly woman that was taken care of us said no I was wrong Oxford needed the full $170.00 to be up to date. I explained to her that this was not what I was told on the phone but she just ignored me and again repeated this is what your dog needs to be up to date. I do not mind getting my dog what he needs but no apology or explanation was just a little to much. My boyfriend takes his dog to best friends where I have gone with him several times and everyone was friendly and nice I guess Oxford will be going there also. Pros: none Cons: unfriendly staff more
