Best in the West 12/19/2011

I have suffered from on and off again back and neck pain for over 25 years now. In the past 5 years the pain has worsened progressively. I have a friend who is a pain management specialist in El Dorado Hills and I would visit him when the pain was more than I could take. As comfortable as I was seeing my friend for the management of my pain, I knew I needed to find an alternative closer to home. I starting seeing Dr. Panjabi about 4 years ago, and upon my first visit I felt comfortable with his knowledge and ability to treat me. About a year ago Dr. Panjabi told me I needed to get surgery on my back, he kept insisting I get it taken care of or one day I would need emergency surgery. Had I listened to Dr. Panjabi's demands and explanations as to why I should have surgery asap, my back would most likely be pain free today. Unfortunately I didn't listen, I really should have because if you think about it, he had my best interest in mind when he suggested surgery. Sure enough my back went out while I was in San Antonio, Texas. I was 1800 miles from home, unable to move with the most excruciating pain ever. To make a long story short I had surgery, unfortunately I still have pain, though not as bad, and nerve damage. I continue to see Dr. Panjabi and Riddhi Patel, his PAC to this day. I am very pleased with the level of attention I receive and confident in their medical opinion. I must say my experience with PA-C Riddhi Patel has been better than expected. Seeing a PA-C instead of the doctor was new to me and I wasn't sure how I would feel. Her no nonsense straight to the point approach is reassuring. I have also had several epidurals for my neck that worked like a charm. They seem to last about a year or more. Dr. Panjabi and his staff have a way of making you feel at ease before the procedure. They always seem to be super busy which is good, to me it is a sign of a great doctor or why else would so many people line up to see him? As busy as they are, the staff always takes to time to handle my questions or concerns. I would like to acknowledge and thank Jody for dealing with me. I must admit I can be a real horses ass at times. It seems like severe pain brings out the worst in people. On one occasion I was very disrespectful to Jody while she remained composed and ever so polite. She definitely did not warrant or deserve to be treated in that manner. What impressed me the most about Jody, is she never let that get to her, or stand in the way of going out of her way for me. I have witnessed first hand what Jody and her staff deal with daily, all I can say is I wouldn't want to be in their shoes. more

Riddhi Patel = SHE DEVIL 7/28/2011

I have to agree on Riddhi Patel's bedside manner. She treats people as if they are beneath her and if they are not sitting in the chair in her office with a broken neck, then they should not be wasting her time. \r Riddhi the transvestite is rude, neglectful, unapproachable, unfit for her job, unprofessional, and forgetful. She is NOT a doctor, she is a PA ( FYI) .\r She needs to go back to Pakistan or India and help people there ( the Taliban for instance) because the only people that she can get along with is those stinky ass men that will put her in her place. She needs an attitude adjustment, Dr. Panjabai, please put her back in a job changing bedpans and mopping floors. God forbid or Allah forbid she ever is in pain and someone treats her the way she treated me! I want this lady to lose her license. Karma will get her. more

Great doctors except for Riddhi Patel 12/20/2010

Advanced Pain Management is a great office with great doctors besides Riddhi Patel. I saw Riddhi Patel first and she was HORRIBLE. I cannot emphasis this any more. She is not a doctor, she is just some one who writes prescriptions on behalf of the other doctors. Riti Patel treated me like sh*t and questioned everything I had to say and said she was doing me a favor for allowing me to be seen. SCREW HER. SHE HIS HORRIBLE AND SHOULD BE FIRED. I suffered from a L1 burst fracture and it paralyzed me for a year. I regained motor movement in my legs but still suffer from drop foot which I wear ankle AFO's to correct. I also suffer from debilitating nerve damage in my legs as well as clonus in my mid back to my feet. Once I complained and switched to Dr. Navid Mallavaram, a REAL M.D., he completely understood what I was going through and treated me like a real human being. Ever since my pain levels have been much better, I've gained much needed weight since I lost over 40 pounds since my accident and I'm doing remarkably better overall. IMO, Riddhi Patel should be fired for her lack of ""bed-side manner"" and horrible people-skills. The rest of the staff is great, including front-desk receptionist Chris @ the Castro Valley office. She does a great job at managing the front desk and is very helpful and friendly. more

AVOID this Doctors Office at ALL COSTS!! 6/9/2008

AVOID this Doctors Office at ALL COSTS!!\r \r I have the worst experience of my life at this doctor?s office. The ""Doctor"" Ms. Rita Patel was a completely a$$ and would not talk to me as a human. She treated me like a piece of dirt and I would tell anyone to stay away from this person as she is not normal. She straight up lied to my face and she is a doctor???!!??? Also, my appointment was at 3:30pm and I didn't get seen until 4:45pm, waste of time. Pros: NONE! Cons: Rita Patel, Staff, wait time, and cleanliness more

Worst Doctor's Office Experience of My Life. 8/16/2007

It was 45 minutes after my appointment time when I was finally seen. The nurse was nice but the Doctor was rude, she gave me the run-around answers on my questions. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong for being there. She did not care what I said about my pain, and there was only one option of medicine for me, which didn't suit my needs. It was a complete waste of time and money. There is a hard-core back lash of pain management medicine. more
