Recently recently I tried Tamara the new hairdresser and she did an amazing job with my color, highlights, cut & blow dry. She did the color that I always asked for but never got. I have been a loyal client of Tina's since before Pamper Me opened, so when she moved there I followed. Tina is the best! From waxing to facials to nails; she does it all. Then I discovered Myra, my hairstylist. She has a true art with hair. And then Rita, who wonderfully does my make-up for special occassions. And let's not forget the rest of the professional and courteous staff, that make this place a joy going to. They make you feel welcomed. Thanks Pamper Me! I have been going to Tina for my nails, waxing & massages for years (by appointment). I always get wonderful compliments from friends and coworkers. Even when I requested a service (UV top coat) that the salon did not currently provide, in order to accommodate me, they learned how to do it. And Irma gives a wonderfully thorough pedicure. I have been getting brazilian waxes done for years in many different places, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, you name it! When I moved to New York, I wanted to find a salon that was reasonably priced but thorough - you pay for a service after all! So when I went for my first wax at Pamper Me I was apprehensive as I have had some very expensive and badly finished brazilians done. Pamper me were wonderful! That first treatment took well over 30 mins and the girl who did the wax made sure every last straggler was removed, clean as a whistle! I was so impressed I went back only 3 weeks later to get the new regrowth removed and the second time the girl was just as good, the girl gave me loads of time to make sure it was done perfectly and when I asked for something specific she repected my request and did just as I asked, no quams, no questions! I really recommend this place to experienced and inexperienced waxers. Bikini waxing is scary the first time as you do not know what to expect but the girls put you right at ease. I also had a manicure done here recently during my lunch break but I only had 30mins so I was so unhappy to have to rush the girl becuase she was fantastic. The hand massage was gorgeous and wasnt just a silly quick rub like lots of Manhattan places give you. She spent a good fews minutes on each hand massaging - i nearly fell asleep it was so relaxing! She did a gorgeous job on my fingers and nails, very neat, and not TOO much polish so i didnt smudge it later in the day. Really i cannot sing the praises of this salon enough. I just can't wait to get a pedicure done soon to try that out :-) Pros: Best wax in town! Cons: None- I didn't have enough time to get more treatments done! more

this was my first time going there and i was a little apprehensive at first but after reading the reviews i decided to give it a shot seeing as most all reviews were very good and i also live very close to the salon. Rita did my waxing and she was very attentive. The whole staff there is extremely friendly and prices are def. within my budget. this has def. become my new place for waxing. Thanks again more

I got a brazilian bikini wax done today, and it was amazing! The lady that did it was very gentle and nice. She talked me through it and it was a breeze. After my Brazilian I even got my eyebrows done, and I don't let just anyone do them. The people in here was very helpful and nice, even the costumers. THIS IS MY NEW SPOT FOR EVERYTHING! Pamper Me Salon is the only place I go for a pedicure. Not only is the location convenient to access during my trips around town, it always has available free parking in front of the salon. Irma is my favorite for pedicures but please note that she doesn't work on Sundays. She's friendly, gentle and cheerful and is very attentive to doing her best work. She recently used a callous-removing gel that was incredibly effective and helped me to avoid the use of the dreaded razor. I haven't yet tried the hair stylist but after reading the rave reviews about the Brazilian Keratin conditioning treatment, I'll certainly schedule myself for one. Prices at this salon are very reasonable and allow me to tip generously when the service is been exceptional. Please note that this salon allows you to purchase (for a nominal fee) and store a personal manicure box for foot sponges, nail files, etc. Pros: You can make an appointment to avoid a long wait. Cons: During the summer, waits for walk-in customers can be lengthy. more

Very convenient for me to run over to the salon on my lunch hour and get a manicure, pedicure, waxing, and even hair done. This was my first experience with Mira and she did great highlights for me. I was very impressed with her work and how fast she works. I highly recommend her for highlights, cutting, and blowing out. more

I always go there for a mani/pedi and was sceptical to try the hairdresser. This time I was rushing to a party I was invited to and decided to get my updo there to save some time. I cant tell you how great Mira did my updo. I would have paid a fortune in any other salon to get this amazing natural flowing updo at any other salon and wouldn't get this amazing result. All I can say is that I wish I can post a pic on here!!! Nice to have a good local salon. more

I just got the brazilian keratin treatment at pamper me cant tell you how healthy and silky my hair looks....my hair is naturally straight..however after constantly bleaching it ...it looked like a spounge. The process took about 3 hours and I couldn't wash my hair for 4 days after getting it done...Once I washed my hair it was amazing how healthy and shiny my hair was and is everytime I wash it....I am so happy I found out about this treatment. After reading some of the reviews below ..I decided to give pamper me a try. I originally went there for a brazilian wax and loved it.....price is reasonable...it took the girl less than 20 min and not as painful as it usually is when I get it done. Once I was there decided to also get a mani/pedi that was good as well....Havent done my hair there yet but will definitely try them next time I am there....It will definitely be convenient to go to one salon for all the services and be happy with them.... Top it all...they have their own parking lot....I definitely recommend this place... more

If you love being treated like royalty, this is the place to be! I have never experienced such pampering in a salon before - it beats out the really expensive ones in NYC... I went there with a friend on my birthday to try out the winter spa special, and was delighted by Dora (the owner) and her staff of highly trained, friendly, attentive lovely ladies. Everything from the spa pedicure to the full body massage to the facial to the manicure was top notch. The staff takes their time with each client and pays attention to each person. You will never feel like just another number in this place - Dora even accomodated my friend & I when we came in with some champagne by arranging for glasses and a table full of often replenished goodies to snack on. Plan on staying for a while when you visit this spa -- because you won't want to leave! You won't be disappointed! These people make you feel like you're among long lost best friends. Excellent!!! Last week I came in to Pamper Me Salon & Spa to get the Brazilian Keratin Treatment for my hair. I was a bit skeptical at first, but this treatment has outdone itself. The process takes about 2 hours, and is definetley worth the time. My hair came out unbelievably soft, silky, and manageable. This treatment is known to last for 3 months, and the best part about it? All the money you save from getting blow-dries done every week. If your like me and have damaged, frizzy, over-processed hair, this treatment is for you. I cant stress it enough. All you have to do after washing your hair, is air dry it, and just like that, you have salon worthy hair, every time. The stylist that performs this service is Mira Yagudayev, a very professional and experienced hair stylist, and she showed me her certificate of training for this treatment as well. The staff and enviornment was great, as well as the other amazing services they offer! You must stop in for a consultation ASAP...you wont regret it!!! more

I just had this Brazilian Hair straightening done at a salon near my home in Queens and I can't stop raving about it. I wanted to share my experience with anyone who is interested in this treatment. I had it performed by a wonderful stylist named Mira Yagudayev . Normally, I had relied on relaxers and regular ironing appointments. I had tried thermals and Japanese treatments with minimal success, and frequent appointments were always needed. My hair is pretty thick, bra-strap, and has alot of frizz and a body wave. I had the BKT done, and my hair is amazing!!! I come out of the shower, and my hair dries much quicker than before and it is ready for a night out after air drying! I comb through it and the tangles from shampooing come right out. I really could not be more pleased. They said it lasts for over 3 months, and certain products are said to sometimes be able to prolong that! I could not be happier with it!! Really. Mira and the staff there are true professionals with a smile on thier face! I have found a new home. I would highly recommend this treatment to anyone tired of fighting with your hair. And I would especially recommend Pamper Me Salon & Spa in Kew Gardens if you're anywhere even remotely close to Queens! It's worth it!! more

There are many things that would keep me coming back to this sensational spa. One of the best things they have to offer is parking right in the front! Next thing would be service of course. As soon as I came in I was greeted with smiling faces that made me feel like I was their most important V.I.P. client. I came in for extensions because my hair is really fine and short. You could tell that the hairstylist was a pro, not to mention all her awards she had around. She told me about "Great Lengths" extensions, and I was so impressed with the quality that I just had to get it done. The end result was stunning. I couldn't believe my eyes. My hair looked absolutely ravishing, like I should have been going to the red carpet that evening. Went to this place on Saturday based on a friend's recommendation, got a hair cut, blow-dry, manicure, pedicure and brazillian wax. Wow! I must say that I walked away pretty amazed. It is usually very rare that you can get everything done at one place and be happy with all the services but this places managed to do it. From the cut and blow-dry by Mira to the wax, manicure and pedicure by Rita, everything came out just the way I wanted. I am very particular about brazillian waxing and have been going to the same woman for many years in the city but my friend raved about Rita so I went in mostly because I wanted to try the brazillian but decided to get everything else since it was very convenient. I AM HAPPY and this is my new favorite salon. The best part about this place is that the prices are very reasonable! I am so used to city pirices that this place is unbeatable. At first I really liked the place, I went there for the Japanese Straightening as my hair is naturally very curly. Long story short my hair was still very curly after I paid and had the procedure done twice. I went back to have them re-do it, and after I waited 1 1/2 hours was told I needed to pay another $100! I have been getting the Japanese Straightening on my hair for several years (and at different salons) and I have never had a problem before. My hair was so curly even after they did it twice, my co-workers were commenting on how curly and frizzy my hair was! The manager refused to successfully complete the service I paid $300 for. I am highly dissatisfied, to say the least. They were rude to me and called me a liar. Not to mention they could have told me on my last visit about the $100 before I waited 90 minutes!!!! Since then I have found other places in Queens that do he straightening correctly, and are cheaper and not rude! Pros: None Cons: Nasty thieving people! more
