Beautiful Landmark 5/27/2006

My husband and I have been lucky enough to get a great deal on priceline, when that was famous, to spend the night here for under $150. Our room was less spectacular than I expected, but the service and the ambiance was amazing. The hotel lobby is very elaborate and reminiscent of old days. The restaurant serves delicious food with very friendly service. I recommend a stay at The Palmer House for anyone on a special anniversary or romantic get away. more

Ornately Decorated 5/27/2006

I came to this awesome hotel once for a convention. I have not seen many banquet rooms that are as beautiful as this. It had very ornate decorations all around. The banquet was huge and they actually served really good food. The service here was top notch. Just the lobby of this hotel is something spectacular. I hope I get to spend a night here in the future. The only thing that made be a bit mad was that I paid 30 dollars for parking! more

Niceee 5/27/2006

Awesome place. Its really pretty. I would suggest their ballroom here for a wedding. Its real nice..the walls are all nicely painted. The red room is real nice. The building has many floors. The lobby is the most amazing. It really attracts many people. Their service is excellent. The only thing I dont liek about this palce is the parking. It costs 20 bucks to park in their structure for just a couple of hours. Other than that, its an awesome place for a special occassion. more

Timeless Elegance 3/21/2006

The lobby itself is worth visiting, stunning artwork graces the ceilings and walls. It is done in an Itlaian style. The art work was recently cleaned and renovated due to years of cigarette, cigar and pipe smoke.The hotel itself is a classic. It's too bad to hear about the famous Trader Vic's. I look forward to hearing where they move to. more

Palmer House Hilton has elegant lobby 3/17/2006

The Palmer House Hilton possesses one of the loveliest lobbies as far as older Chicago hotels, with beautiful scenes painted on the ceilings as in an Italian villa. After seeing the smallish guest rooms, you may want to drag your bed into the second floor lobby and camp out there. The first floor has an arcade of stores. The famous Trader Vic’s closed recently, though this restaurant is rumored to pop up in a new location soon. more

Awesome Hotel 3/5/2006

if you are visiting Chicago, then this is the place to be. This hotel has such a great setting. It is optimaly located right in downtown Chicago. But if you actually stay at this hotel, you will be tempted to not leave at all. For one, the hotel is so beautifully designed and there's so much to do right inside. There's a salon, a few shops, and some great places to eat. The service and the comfort of these rooms are also excellent. This is definitely one of the top places to stay in Chicago. more

Ask 10 Chicagoans what hotel they think says "Chicago" and I bet 6 of them will say the "Palmer House Hilton." The Palmer House staff is fantastic, the hotel has everything you can imagine--including barber shop, clothing stores, and Trader Vic's restaurant--in a great downtown location whether you're doing business in the Loop or are in Chicago for vacation and want easy access to shopping on State Street, the Art Institute, and other attractions. more

Nice Hotel 7/24/2005

This is a very nice place to stay in Chicago. The hotel may not be the newest in town, since it has been around for years and years, but it is still very beautiful and grand. The hotel's rustic look adds to the beauty and makes the experience great. This hotel is very well-kept and the service is excellent. They have a full-service restraunt in the lobby which has some delicious food. It's also located very conveniently in the city near all the shopping, business district, and attractions. more
