Palmer and Marler Funeral Homes provide a large selection of Funeral service and related services for our families. We provide traditional funereal services which include the funereal home professional services, pickup and embalming, helping a family in the selection of a casket and outside container for the cemetery, making cemetery arrangements, securing information for the newspaper and death certificate, veteran and social security information, contacting the minister, pallbearers, musicians and coordination of the funeral service itself.
We also accept flower arrangements for the funeral and arrange them for the funeral service. Family limousines, funeral coach and all other transportation are provided at the family?s request.
We can also offer graveside services for those family?s that do not wish to have a full traditional service, providing also out of state burials, cremation and donations to the State Anatomical Board.
We offer prearrangement services where a f amily may plan their funeral services ahead of time and pay for the service either by insurance or annuity funding. Pre-arranging allows family the opportunity to select the funeral service of their choice eliminating any decisions for their loved ones to make during the difficult time of a lost a loved one.

Palmer and Marler Funeral Homes have been providing continuous service to the families of the Cushing area since 1896 with the start of the Walters Furniture Store which provided funeral service to the community. Walter?s old to the Garrison family and they operated the funeral home until Al Fairley bought the funeral home on September 21, 1939. Mr. Fairley continued the traditions until selling the funeral home to his son-in-law Joe Perry in 1965.
The Funeral home was owned by the Hackler family until August of 1989 when Craig Palmer and Duane Marler started their association with the Cushing community.
The Palmer and Marler Funeral home is proud of the fact that while others funeral homes have sold to large corporations, they have remained family owned and operated providing the same personal service that the original owners started in 1896.
Palmer and Marler Funeral Home also have chapels in Yale and Oilton. We have expanded our staff to included five funeral directors , Craig Palmer, Duane Marler, Anita Marler, Jim Wooten and Lynn IIamilton, secretary Janette Lee, Maxine Simpson and Christy Hickman. All of our employees live in the Cushing area and are involved in the community.
