Worst

Vet did not listen to any of my concerns or my dogs symptoms. He fixated on one problem and ignored everything else. The Staff was really nice thou and office was clean.

Dr. McEwan is the BEST veterinarian I have ever found. I am so glad that I found him and his wonderful staff. I almost put my old cat to sleep because she was doing so poorly, but instead decided to change from the veterinarian I was using in Lancaster. Wow...what a difference. My old cat just needed an adjustment in her thyroid med. She is now doing great. Dr. McEwan explained everything and didn't rush us. And, after trying the laser therapy the clinic has on the arthritis in her back, she is now holding her tail up high, batting her ball around, and even eating sooo good. No more pain meds. Maybe being a Vet for 25 years and really caring makes a big difference. Inside, the clinic is state of the art...even though the area of town is not the best. All of my pets now go to this clinic. more

Awesome! 5/24/2012

I took my dog to Palmdale Veterinary Hospital on the advice of my friends. They were very professional and CARING about my dog, and they made me feel so welcome. My dog had been in a fight and was beat up. The doctor did a thorough exam and found the wounds AND other wounds I didn't see and fixed her up beautifully. They wanted to be sure she didn't hurt and didn't get infected, and warned me about how the healing process would go and they were right! It was nice to know what to expect, and they were always willing to talk on the phone to help me with questions. They are so patient and gentle with my little girl. You can't beat that. I wish they could be MY doctors, too. more

Disgusted! 11/11/2011

We took our 6 year old lab to Dr. Choi in August, 2011. A few days earlier, our lab suddenly seemed to be in a lot of pain. She yelped when she stood up and was unable to jump into the car. She had no visible injuries. We were scheduled to travel out fo the country with her in less than a week. A friend recommended Palmdale Veterinary. more

To one J D M., you must have trouble grasping reality. Palmdale Veterinary Hospital is THE only, and best place to take an animal. Your personal vendetta is showing. All of the personal is kind, caring, compassionate and willing to work with you, as long as you work with them as well. A clinic's best support to a wonder group of Doctors is its staff. If you?re so un-happy with a great group of people then why do you stay? To have something to complain about? more

Couldn't be more satisfied! 7/28/2010

Drs. McEwan, Choi and Kirshner, are progressive, compassionate, and caring. I know at anytime that my animals need care; I will receive the best and most current treatment available. Charges/prices are reasonable too. I have never been turned away; whether an emergency or a concern. They also provide a vaccine clinic. You can get your animals vaccinated at a lesser price. I have had animal most of my life. I have searched out the best care takers when it comes to my animals. Dr. McEwan rates at the top of my list! You want excellent and consistent care for you pet; Palmdale Veterinary Hospital is for you! more

THE BEST! 7/23/2010

I have been taking my birds & animals to Dr. L. McEwan at the Palmdale Veterinary Hospital since I moved up to the AV 16yrs ago. He is the best veterinarian I have been to in many years, & I?ve been to a lot of them! Over the past 35+ years I have raised & showed, Birman cats, Shelties, Rottweilers, Golden Retrievers & Canaries. If I know more than the vet, I don't go back.\r \r I no longer breed or show anything; I just rescue, spay & neuter animals that have been dumped out here in the desert! All of them go to Dr. L. McEwan first, for what has to be done to make their lives healthy & happy. \r \r I am highly recommending Dr. L. McEwan only, not the other vets that work there. I?m sorry but I know nothing good or bad about them. I?m sure they are good, but I personally don?t know that.\r \r Linda more

Great Doctors 7/6/2010

All the doctors, Doctor Mc Ewan, Doctor Choi, Doctor Kirsch, are absolutely wonderful doctors, ready to help you in moments notice. Animal technicians all of them treat your pets like a family member.\r \r Negative side to it, two particular office managers not naming names don't take suggestions well, they'll take whatever your saying good, bad, or indifferent as an insult, blow it way out proportion regardless of it is, and there no need for that. more

RUDE if you own a pittbull 1/20/2010

I was recently given a female pittbull puppy. She is our family dog (she is apsolutly NOT for fighting). I called palmdale veteniary hospital to ask information about spaying assistance to help with the costs and as soon as mentioned it was a pittbull the receptionist became very rude. She did not provide me with any numbers of organizations and just flat out said NO and hanged up! After wards I called high desert hospital and they provided me with THREE telephone numbers and were very kind! Its ashamed that pittbulls get a bad reputation. In my opinion they are great family dogs. I have 2yr old twins and my dog is very calm around. I have never had anything unfortunate happen with them. I believe that it all depends on the owner on how any dog reacts more

I've been bringing my pets here for years. The staff is terrific, but we are especially big fans of Dr. Kirsch. Not only is she a wonderful vet, her caring and kindness are so very much appreciated. I'd recommend her without hesitation. more

They Love My Dog 10/16/2008

I have been bringing my dog here since we got her at 8 weeks old.\r She is now 6 years old and still very healthy. They provide Spade and Neuter service and also low cost vaccinations days. They also do a great job with our dog's teeth cleaning. The staff is friendly and great with animals and they always send me a friendly reminder by mail when it is time for the updated vaccines and teeth cleaning.\r My dog is also happy coming here, because she gets her dog treat after her service. more

OUTSTANDING VET AND STAFF! 6/8/2007

Dr. McEwan is a lifesaver! He handled my cat's multiple problems with expertise and compassion, and for an extremely reasonable fee. The Dr. and his staff went out of their way to make my "fractious" cat perfectly at ease. He managed to spare my pet trauma and to spare me added expense at the same time. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and warm, and my cat's special diet problems were also quickly solved by the variety of supplies on hand. The facility is pet and owner friendly and the equipment state of the art. I was referred to the clinic by other long-time pet owners, and they did not let me down! more
