(SF) A palace fit for Leo DaVinci 7/19/2006

What a better combination than to have art of roman architecture and science in one palace. The Palace held the artwork for the 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition. Now the last remaining structure, it houses multiple experiments glorifying science phenomenons. The Palace is a wonderful place to photograph. Set in overgrown landscaping and a pond housing wildlife, it is a natural backdrop for scenes in movies, like 'The Rock'. The terracotta columns contrasts very well against the blue sky (day or night). The artisans that built the originals were flown in from Europe. Beautiful, you have to see it and feel it for yourself. more

Historical and refined 4/11/2006

The Palace of Fine Arts is a amazing structure where you can spend a hour admiring the great architecture, and amazing piece of work. You don't hear much of anyone talking about the Palace of Fine Arts, but there's no other structure in San Francisco like it. The setting just fits the Palace of Fine Arts, a nice place to spend your weekends. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates historical buildings. more

San Francisco Landmark! 8/21/2005

Where do I begin with this beautiful structure which is actually a very fun hands on museum inside? I've been going here since I was a young child, and have never been sick of the attractions. Where elese can you learn about static electricity, eels, magents, holograms all in one place? There are demonstrations of cow eye dissections, you can make resverations to the Tactile Dome, a pitch black maze, and after you can take the beautiful walk around the structure. Kids and adults alike can learn about everything science has to offer all while having a good time. There are so many fascinating things about the Exploritorium, that anyone visiting the San Francisco area should go find out for themselves. I recommend this to anyone who wants to learn something and have fun at the same time. more

Walk in the historic palace 8/18/2005

Palace of fine arts in San Francisco is a famous place for wedding pictures. This head line hints that it is a pretty and romantic city attraction. The site looks like a small size of Roman ruins. In fact, it was the only architect left over from the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. This place serves no real purpose besides for visitors to see its beauty today. The apartment saround there are quiet artsy, too. It is a nice place to go for a little walk in the afternoon. more
