I referred this company to somone from out of state that purchased a large expensive item from me that required crating and shipping. I had never used them before but recommended them due to the national reputation and their ad stating they specialized in crating large items. The problems involve the owner, Rob and started right away. He kept changing the date to pick up the item from me. Then he told the purchaser it was my schedule that delayed his pickup. He picked it up on a Saturday and told me it would be crated and shipped by the following Tuesday with delivery to the purchaser by that Thursday or Friday. The purchaser did not hear from Rob until the following Tuesday. He told the purchaser it would ship that day and he should receive it by Thursday or Friday of that week. The purchaser called me on Tuesday of the third week and stated it had still not arrived. Rob had promised to send him a tracking number but never did. I went to the store on Wednesday and was told Rob was on vacation. The employee was very polite and helpful in finding a tracking number and contacting UPS Freight. Rob had failed to give them a contact phone number for the purchaser so they could schedule delivery. UPS Freight contacted the purchaser and delivered that day. The UPS freight driver wanted to uncrate the item right away because it was done so poorly. He felt there may be damage to the item. They were able to remove the crate without the use of tools. There was in fact damage to the item. If this system would allow me to rate them with zero stars I would. Stay away from PakMail in Lexington,SC.
