Local Hotel's Restaurant 4/9/2006

The Pagoda is a really peaceful looking place to eat. The place is surrounded by a huge koi pond. Most of the time we are fortunate to watch them at feeding time. Our family goes there on a few Sundays when we want to treat ourselves. It is quiet and relatively empty early in the morning. The coffee is always very hot and delicious! We go there for the Eggs Benedict. That is very tasty too but I would prefer that they stick to the original recipe of Canadian Bacon and not use one slice of turkey. That would be my only complaint. The waiters/waitress are attentive and friendly. more

Downtown Honolulu hotel 10/20/2005

Pagoda Hotel was the first place that I stayed when I first came to Hawaii. My school chose this hotel for me. I was impression about how big the room is. The place is very convenience to go anywhere. There are two major supermarket around there within walking distance, and there are so many restaurant around there. Therefore, it is a good choice to stay when you come to visit Hawaii. more

Dinner 10/9/2005

The prime rib & crab legs buffet is pretty decent for the price - they also have shrimp tempura and sashimi. The seating is tight, but the overall, the value is there. And of course, the children enjoy the self-serve ice cream bar and the koi feeding. Reservations are definitely a must if you don't want to wait long or get turned away. more

Never stayed at the hotel but the food at Pagoda is great 9/21/2005

I love the pagoda because it has a buffet in which there is something on it for everyone. They have a mix of Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Hawaiian, and just overall local food that is extremely yummy. Also, the koi pond is another plus in this because kids will commonly enjoy the restaurant. If I remember there were quite a few good things kids will enjoy. Its also just a nice casual date place so its very comfortable. more

No-frills accommodations for locals 8/20/2005

The Pagoda hotel has been a local favorite for folks seeking a cheap place to stay in the middle of Honolulu. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for (and maybe not even that). Part of the problem is due to the age of the hotel – everything in the moderately sized rooms seems, well, very "experienced." The other part of the problem? There are many other competitively priced hotels in the area, many of which offer promotional resident and visitor rates that aren’t that much more than a night at the Pagoda. Probably the highlight of staying at the Pagoda is the restaurant and koi pond. Otherwise, shop around and splurge a little. It’s worth it. more
