Pagliai's Pizza

I've been searching for authentic Italian style pizza, and had high hopes when we visited Pagliai's. The vegetarian pizza was way too topping-heavy and the taste of the marinated spinach in it was overwhelming to everything else. Even though my ""leave off"" request was taken by the server, it was not entered, and subsequently, it was all throughout my pizza. \r The crust was okay - not the chewy/crispy combination I was looking for, and exactly the same as I'd found at another pizza place - much like a frozen thin crust pizza.\r My dining companion's calzone was really good, and his special order was honored.\r While our server was quite nice, even after seeing I had only eaten half of a slice of pizza and did not want a box, no questions were asked about the quality.\r Atmosphere and cleanliness were wonderful - I was impressed with the establishment, but not the pizza. Pagliai's have been making pizza since 1957.
