Ugh! Rated the best? C'mon! It's cheap Italian food marked as if their food was gold. Get real, this food is not great & does not deserve the #1 spot on this list. Those who voted this #1, obviously do not know an Italian meal when they eat it, they'd be better of with some penne & Ragu, it would save them $50! more

One Killer Dish!!! 9/23/2002

Any moron that goes to Paesano's and orders ANYTHING other than Shrimp Paesano is wasting their time. If you don't like shrimp go somewhere else. THIS IS THE ONLY DISH TO ORDER HERE!!! Have them 86 the pasta (poor chef boyardee type) that comes with it and make the salad (very good)that comes with it bigger. Just get the regular house salad, only bigger. Skip the bread (which is ok) and dessert (which varies) cause you're too fat already. If you are really hungry, order a Shrimp Paesano appetizer and have them combine it with the entree. If you can find a finer shrimp dish on the planet, please let me know. Salud and buon appetito!! Pros: one killer dish more

Over-rated, Over-Priced, Tasteless Food 9/4/2002

How anyone could rate this crap as the ""Best Italian Food"" in San Antonio is beyond me! The Chicken was dry and tasteless, the Veal was the same, and was either ""Ground"" or ""Hammered to death"" with a tenderizing mallet. The pasta sauce was akin to Campbell's Tomato Soup, and the salad was nothing more than lettuce with some type of non-descript dressing. The service was mediocre at best, and we weren't even asked how the food was! If we had been, we could have let them know in person that you can get ""Better Tasting Italian Food"" at Fazoli's for about one third the price! Cons: Tasteless Food, Expensive, so-so service more

My Favorite place in SA 7/4/2002

I'm a steak nut! I like them cooked Medium Well.... I have eaten at Paesano's more than 10 times and have ALWAYS been able to cut my steak with a fork! Save room for dessert. more
