Progressive and welcoming 6/22/2009

The Pacific Synagogue was established as an outreach Synagogue to provide a welcoming approach to Judaism for Interfaith families. I am out and about in the community performing about 50 services a year. Over the last 8 years I have have been blessed with 1,000's of Jewish and non Jewish people who have requested to join for the Synagogue as long as someone else pays for the buildings and staff. We receive no funding from any charity or The Jewish Federation. Our doors are open to all and keep in mind that Synagogue employees are part time. In 2009 our donations are projected to be $32,450. Woohoo ! We are now in Escondido, check us out at PacificSynagogue dot org. As the Rabbi (part time) I welcome anyone to come forward and make the staff full time employees of the Synagogue. Call 858-952-1200 and Talia or I would be happy to talk with you. In specific response to Ladybride: 1) Yes, the Pacific Synagogue is a real ""outreach"" synagogue. 2) Our congregation is real and every year, as an outreach Synagogue, I am honored to reach about 7,500 people at my services. 3) We are now located in Escondido CA. 4) My assistant is part time and has not got the time to organize my schedule and spend hours every day on the phone because she has to earn a living. She would be happy to hand over her job to someone else, please call or email. (ladybride may apply if she can promise to not treat our families with the same callous rude rhetoric as she has shown here). 5) After about 48,000 positive experiences I suppose someone had to attack my charitable work. 6) Donations ? Read above. Pros: Outreach oriented Cons: Cash poor more

Is Pacific Synagogue even a real synagogue? No congregation? No actual location? An assistant who cannot answer phones? The whole thing is a sham. Horrible experience. Horrible. Rabbi Ian was the worst of it all. Pros: Rabbi Ian has a cool accent. Cons: No congregation? where does your ""donation"" really go? more
