Good Value for the Annual membership 8/17/2005

Pacific Science Center’s annual membership includes 3 IMAX movie passes for each person in your family, up to 6 people! That’s 18 regular engagement IMAX movies AND a year of the Science Center for about $75. A great deal. Combine it with the Children’s museum pass and your little kids have plenty of activities for a long time. The exhibits themselves are okay, not the best science center on the west coast (Science World-Vancouver, Exploritorium-SF), but not the worst either (Lawrence Hall of Science-Berkeley). Rotating exhibits and IMAX movies plus cooperative agreements with those great Science Centers in other cities make this a very worthwhile membership. more

While their exhibits have usually been really good, the exhibit I saw about "extreme weather" left much to be desired. Besides, I was there on a weekday and the Center closed nearly two hours early to accommodate a private party. Of course, they didn't tell me that when I paid for my ticket, and the staff wasn't exactly nice when they started setting up an event around us. more

Lots of Fun 8/17/2005

Great for kids... The center includes 200 interactive hands-on exhibits, a planetarium with two shows, an IMAX theater, and a laser theater. Features include making a giant sheet bubble, computer simulations, virtual reality hang-gliding, and robot battles. Learn a lot and have fun at Seattle's Pacific Science Center. Go there today. more

Science, rides, and fun oh my! 8/13/2005

The Seattle pacific science center is a great attraction for all ages. Kids will love things like the dinosaur exhibit and the cool science toys and the rides! Outside the center there is smaller carnival rides and games like filling the water balloon and bb gun shoot where you can win prizes. Its almost like a small fair. There's a huge fountain the kids can play in, and a great activity for the family. The science center is a separate price admission from the rides and games. There is also and i max theater here which is also a separate price. It is very nice to be able to pay for what you want rather than having to pay a huge price to go to all of them if you don't want to. There's also the space needle which can be an expensive place to eat, but you can ride up to the gift shop for free :) A great all day family activity especially if your just visiting Seattle! more

great place to check out 8/10/2005

One of the popular places in Seattle located right next to the Space Needle sits the Pacific Science Center. It is full of amusing exhibits of all sorts and hands on activities that will keep you and your kids amused and busy. Make sure that while you are there you check out their IMAX theatre movies, they are awesome. They have two IMAX theatres, one that plays regular films, and the other that plays cool 3-d ones. This is a place that everyone has to have been to at least once. more

something for everyone 7/31/2005

The Pacific Science Center is lots of fun for kids of all ages. If you are planning to go more than a few times a year, you should really get a membership. There are changing exhibits as well as the old standbys (the dinosaur room, the hands-on exhibits, the insect room. The Butterfly House is a beautiful room with different kinds of butterflies to look for. It is also fun to see an IMAX movie while you are there. There is even a nice area just for very young children. more

One of Seattle's greatest museums... 7/26/2005

Pacific Science Center is a must see for everyone! It features exhibits, laser light shows, a 3-D IMAX big screen theatre, hands on experience with exhibits, and much more. Its a great place to take kids to because they don't just see the exhibits, but they can touch and experiment, which all kids love to do. There is a huge dinosaur exhibit and a tropical butterfly house that are very popular. There is too much to describe, you have to check it out for yourself. You will guarantee to love it no matter how old you are. more

This is one of the best places to go with kids. There is a lot of stuff to do and things to play with. They have great exhibits that are fun and teach you things too. The people who work there are nice and helpful. The prices are pretty good for what you are doing. They have an IMAX theater too. This is a fun place to spend your day. Plan ahead for parking you will probably have to pay. more
