Perhaps Seattle's Most Attractive "Mall" 5/7/2006

Pacific Place is a little too upscale to attract the hordes of tourists found at Westlake. Some people come just for its beauty: it has an enormous semi-circular skylight that illuminates the floors below, and an one of its escalator systems brings people from the ground floor to the top in an elegant semi-circular arch. The ground floor courtyard resembles an outdoor dining area with street lamps. And because of all of this, they don't have the usual cheap mall-stores and gut-wrenching food circuits. more

Pacific Place 5/7/2006

This is an upscale shopping center in the heart of downtown Seattle. It is a great place to stop in while on lunch hour or to visit after work. I like browsing in it, since an atmosphere of elegance exists. The interior is very eye appealing and features some of the highest caliber stores and restaurants in existence. Prices are high. Atmosphere is fantastic. more

Good upscale mall 4/14/2006

I mainly shop at Pottery Barn and Gymboree here - but there are a myriad of other stores to choose from, most very expensive: Tiffany and Cartier are both right there on the main floor as you enter. I do like the J Crew store and the Illuminations candle store is fun. There are some great places to catch a bite to eat here too - and don't miss the two story Barnes and Noble on the corner! My 2nd favorite bookstore in the city. (Elliot Bay is first.) more

Great shopping starting-point 4/5/2006

Echoing most other reviews in saying that this mall is very upscale and expensive, the parking and restaurants are a great starting point for your afternoon shopping. The parking garage is safe and with great rates to boot. I really enjoy the restaurants here too-- Thai Ginger and Gordon Biersch being among the best (skip on Todai, that's gross). After that you can pretty much skip the shopping here and head over to Nordies, Urban Outfitters, American Eagle, etc for cheaper digs. End your night with a movie at Pacific Place though-- they give great student discounts if you have your ID (and a student, of course). more

Great place to park! 3/26/2006

Whenever we go downtown, this is where we park. Their evening/night time rates can't be beat. I don't do a lot of shopping here, mainly because to me it's just a parking garage. But they do have a ton of great shops that you can find elsewhere, like the Olive Oil store and Crane's. more

A place for the RICH 12/9/2005

The prices and boutiques are very expensive. Pottery Barn is a store definitely for the high class because it's so expensive. The clothing stores are very expenisve. But all together, 5 stories of shops and eateries. They also have a movie theater up top so you can catch a movie after you're done with shopping. more

Higher Class Shopping 12/9/2005

If you are looking for high class stores, Pacific Place is a host to your needs. With the more luxorious stores, expect to pay more for your things. The environment is always very bright and receiving, even in the darkest, rainiest days. This is also a home to one of my favorite restaurants, Todai. Parking here is a bit costly, as with most downtown places. more

Dont Come Here to Shop 10/31/2005

If you're looking to actually buy something don't come here. Stuff is really expensive and the variety of stores is limited. The only reason that I would come here is to go to the movie theater. The stores in Pacific Place include Helly Hansen, Tiffany's, BCBG, Ann Taylor, etc. I do have to give it to management for having great taste in food. The restaurants in here are very good. more

Great Mall 8/17/2005

Shopping We have the usual malls and I support my city stores - Pacific Place, Westlake Mall, Bon, Nordstrom’s, Old Navy, Betsy Johnson, Eileen Fisher, Barney's, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic Etc. You can pick and if you want some funky fun stores go to Broadway, North City/Belltown, or Pioneer Sq. Some fun stores Panache, Rado, and Outriggers. Then there are 2 huge malls - Southcenter and Bellevue Square. They both are quasi- suburbia malls. Same and different. If you staying downtown Seattle..you will find plenty of options for everything by walking between 1st Ave and 6th Ave from Madison to Stewart grid. The 6 block square pretty much has most of DT shopping. Othewise head to the sprawlers!. In my humble opinion - some of the glass pieces you find here - are terrific. Local artists and styles to fit all tastes. Of course coffee - Cafe Vitta roasts, Torrefacione, and others. For the glass pieces you can go from $50 to $000s. All depends on taste and budgets. more
