I've used Tom (Pacific NW Home Inspections) twice for homes older than 1925. Tom's inspections are very detailed and the layout of the report is very easy to understand with pictures to document all of the concerns. Tom gives very detailed verbal reports on top of the detailed online written/image reports, and his opinion is very honest. In the verbal report, Tom gave me tips on what projects to the home would be a priority. Tom is very prompt and professional. Tom answers all questions during and anytime after the inspection. His many years as a builder helped me gain insight on both of the older homes he inspected for me. I'm definitely going to use Pacific NW Home Inspections if I ever need a house inspected again. Pacific NW Home Inspections did a fantastic job inspecting our home. We plan on staying in our home awhile, but we were concerned about some cracks that developed in our dry wall (our home is only about a decade old). Tom contacted me promptly after I left our information and took great care in making sure that our concerns were addressed. He arrived promptly/on time, took his time inspecting our home (went through every attic/crawl space we had!) and gave us both a verbal report and a very detailed written report (complete with photos) the same day. With one of the best prices around town for his services, Tom gave excellent and very professional service to my wife and me, with easy to understand explanations, on the spot photos and repair recommendations for issues with the home. Tom Island from Pacific NW Home Inspections was the best inspector we've ever had experience with, hands down! He spent 3 hours + inspecting our home and was extremely knowledgeable in every area. He was incredibly patient with every question we had and walked us room by room to explain anything he had concerns about. He was even able to help us figure out what was a priority to fix first, knowing we are on a budget to remodel our home. The inspection report, also, was very detailed and was straight to the point- exactly what one should be like. It had pictures to show every problem or area of concern as well. Tom from Pacific NW Home Inspections arrived 15 minutes early to our scheduled home inspection. He was professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the home which was built in 1912. He spent 3 1/2 hours going through the home from crawlspace to roof. Afterwards, he walked through the entire home inspection with us patiently and discussed issues he found with the home that needed attention. Most importantly, he noted a roof leak that the seller didn't know about nor did the agent! We were delighted with the results and will use Tom at Pacific NW Home Inspections again and tell our friends. Prices were good and he was able to schedule our inspection the next day. Thank you.
