I Was Right In Choosing My Nursing College! 6/14/2012

When I decided to pursue nursing as a career I was going through a list of accredited nursing schools in California. I narrowed down to a couple & finally decided I wanted to join the Pacific college. I can?t say how happy I am about my decision. Pacific college is the best. The staff here is fantastic. They truly care about your progress & their teaching methods are really great. I recommend Pacific college to all my friends who want to do nursing. more

Enrolling in the Pacific college for 6/10/2012

Enrolling in the Pacific college for ultrasound technician program was the wisest thing I did for my career. One of the best ultrasound technician schools in California, they have an excellent faculty who gear you up real well for your chosen career. They really helped me live my dream &I wouldn't be what I am today if it wasn't for Pacific College & the amazing teachers that help students like me accomplish their dreams. more

A truthful current review of a GOOD program. 3/11/2011

I'm a current student. Before choosing to go to this school, I was very fearful from all of the negative reviews about this college being a scam, how they take your money, the instructors aren't qualified, and you are "locked in". \r \r I wanted to give honest insight to the school at this point in time (as of March 2011). I don't know how the school was last year or in years past, but I can say that this school is legitimate and the administration and staff are completely competant. The director of the school is an honest and educated man who has nothing but good hopes for the students of this school. \r \r Good things about this school: Free personalized tutoring anytime you need it. The lady who tutors the students will honestly come to you anywhere- at a coffee shop, the library, etc. The computer lab is there for you to use every day with excellent quality computers. The school is small, but I like it. It's intimate, you get to know the front desk staff and the counselers and all of t more

RUN FOR YOU LIFE!!! OMG!\r The good reviews are written by the staff. This school's administration is comprised of professional liars. They treat the students like dirt. They do nothing they say they will do. When you sign up, you are doomed! The education sucks, they hold you and make you take tests of their own not required by the state board. This is to hold you back and make you pay more money. They say this is to help you pass state board, it is a big lie. They will not let you graduate or take boards, they make you repeat terms if you don't pass. They need a class action lawsuit filed against them by past and present students. Everyone there is so stressed out unnecessarily due to constant lies that is told to them. They do not have adequate facilities for you to go to for clinical. The acute hospitals will have nothing to do with this school. They lost all their contracts, so they have you a dirty, nasty convalescent homes for 75% of your time there. You are in the more

oh my god....the worse experience ever...if you want to be treated like animals go for it!i havnt seen even one student to be happy with this school.the teachers are way below standard, they do what ever they feel like to do...one instructor doesnt even believe in teaching...she curse at students and you cant do anything about it ,cuz no one care about you. avoid this school and look for another school ,your life would be hell for one year...its a waist of your money and effort.i honestly think all those good review are written by school itself. dont let them trick you by their niceness before you sign in or even the first 2 weeks. you have to believe me ,dont make the same mistake that i made. more

4 of 5 stars 7/12/2010

Dont forget the program is intensive! Simply because you need to cover the material in less time compared to a community college. So it is a bit stressing but at the same time I know I am not being cheated out of being exposed to all the skills I need to develop before I get a job. 4 out of 5 stars just because I wish they had wi-fi at campus(more technology). But I learned alot and passed my board exam. :) more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!! 7/1/2010

Honestly, this school is no good! there's no education here, just a way to lose your money. There's no instructors who are stable or stay for very long. There are no clinical placements, the teachers are constantly rotating. The admin is really awful. I am now licensed but not happy about my experience there. i do not recommend it. Nobody I know felt good about the quality- it's like a nursing mill- as many students as they can stuff into a classroom, the better more money for them. It was a joke. Stay away... Look elsewhere, better yet, look at RN programs instead. Unorganized. more

SCHOOL IS A SCAM 4/28/2010

This college is a scam. they have the most under-qualified teachers and the staff treat the students like dogs. I managed to barley graduate however out of the 30 some kids that started the class with me only 7 graduated. mid semester we ended up having to absorb 20 or so students from another class because their teacher was fired for falsifying documents. The tests they give are riddled with mistakes so even if you answer the question right you can get marked down for it and they don't give you credit when you catch the mistake. \r \r EVERYONE WILL TREAT YOU REALLY NICE BEFORE YOU PAY THEM BUT ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE ANIMALS. I PROMISE. \r MOST IMPORTANTLY: THE LVN COURSE DOES NOT COUNT FOR CREDIT ANYWHERE. IF YOU WANT TO ADVANCE TO RN YOUR GOING TO HAVE A HELL OF A TIME FINDING A BRIDGE PROGRAM THAT DOEST HAVE A TWO OR THREE YEAR WAIT LIST. YOUR BEST BET IS TO GO STRAIGHT TO RN AT A COMMUNITY COLLEGE. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. THEY TREAT THE ALUMNI E more

Pacific College Gets 5 Stars 9/30/2008

I graduated from Pacific College in Costa Mesa in 2007. My training there totally prepared me for the State Board exam. I passed the first time that I took it! I am a single mother and knew that it was going to be hard, but I received a lot of help from the instructors and from the tutoring that I received. They truly cared about my education. I was referred to that college and would highly recommend it to anyone. Pros: small class size, large percentage of graduates passed Boards, have been in business a long time.....very stable, great staff!!!!!!! more

PACIFIC COLLEGE IS A GREAT SCHOOL 9/26/2008

I am a graduate of Pacific College in Costa Mesa and am very happy with my training. I am waiting to take my State Board exam and I know I will succeed. They have very good teachers and a very good State Board review. I feel very confident! I am a Filipino and am glad that I went to this college. more

Your Kidding me right??? 6/18/2008

I give Pacific College thumbs up for not only providing me an excellent education in which I was able to get straight into the RN program shortly after getting my license due to "college" learning and hard work. Sure the school is not perfect are you??? While enduring not only myself but fellow class mates and instructor,an over whelming bunch of crap to put it nicely from not all but most of the "filipino" students the entire 12 months. more

Pacific College is a GIMMICK 1/27/2008

My advice to all. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL! save yourself.\r Those in control of the school's finances have new classes starting constantly while dropping current students for illegitimate reasons after they get grant/loan $$$. It is VERY well known throughout the filipina community (LARGE NURSING COMMUNITY) to avoid this school at all costs or end up regretting your decision. If you are a student, TRANSFER asap.\r Run, don't walk!! more
