Pace one by far is my number one restaurant. Back when i first started going in 92 the food was excellent and the service and atmosphere outstanding. Today these standards have increased tenfold. My Strange, Strange Meal 1/9/2009

Me and my wife decided that we would actually try this generally well-reputed restaurant. When we first entered we were appreciative of the old world feel, but the fact that the heat did not seem to be working detracted from the experience. When I inquired about this a waitress told me that the owner was trying to cut costs and decided to minimize the electric bill. Apparently he raised the prices as well because food was ridiculously overpriced. When the manager scolded me for taking more than one pieces of candy out of a bowl they had out I decided I would never visit this medicore eatery again. Pros: Kids are welcome Cons: Food, Service, the owner more

The Trickle down Effect 1/9/2009

What started out as a lovely evening turned out to be a real disater. The owner came down the stairs with a gun in his hand and proceded to fire several blanks in the air, I thought that this was a real classy place. I could smell the aroma of liquor reaking off him. more

Good food, tough location 7/23/2008

Great raw bar, could use an update in wines. Bar atmosphere is cozy and cool, with a lot of dark wood and art. Live music on Fridays are popular with the regulars Pros: Bar Cons: Price more

Went Downhill 2/6/2007

The service and food quality was poor. I believe the business and owner are experiencing some financial difficulty. Not sure how much longer they will be in business. more

A perfect evening! 4/22/2006

I've been to Pace One 6 times in as many months. I absolutely LOVE the bar area. The entire restaurant is gorgeous, but the bar is warm, cozy, ROMANTIC. I could sit there all night with a glass of wine. For a fine dining experience, sit in the dining room. Exposed beams, stone walls, white table linens and candle light: sure to impress a date. The food: a little pricey, honestly. But they do offer half portions of most entres which is still plenty to eat. I had ostrich there last night and I think it was the yummiest thing I've ever tasted. I've also had the crab cakes, rack of lamb, and filet mignon: all fantastic! For appitzers, get the baked brie. Dessert: the fruit cobbler thingy is awesome. I tried all the desserts and it is by far the best so don't waste your time with the others. Pros: Romanic atmosphere, Fabulous Baked Brie, Great Service Cons: Pricey more

Beautiful old inn, good value when you eat at the bar. As said before Ted Pace is a good host. Take a ride into the country and enjoy yourself. Pros: atmosphere more

Excellent food! Great dining experience! 9/20/2004

Probably one of the nicest places I've been too. Excellent food and fantastic desserts and appetizers. I was so impressed I'm having my wedding there! And if you have the opportunity to meet the owner, Ted Pace, I hope you find him as pleasant and friendly as I have. I have high marks for Pace One. more
